Five Words From Biden DOJ Official Just Exposed FBI’s Mar-a-Lago Raid Scandal

Dec 20, 2025

The Biden administration's weaponization of the Justice Department finally got exposed.

Newly released emails revealed the truth about the infamous Mar-a-Lago raid.

And five words from a Biden DOJ official just exposed the FBI's Mar-a-Lago raid scandal.

FBI Agents Pushed Back Against Raid They Knew Lacked Probable Cause

The FBI never believed it had legal grounds to raid President Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022.

Newly declassified emails reviewed by Fox News Digital revealed that FBI officials repeatedly expressed serious concerns about the lack of probable cause to execute a search warrant on the former President's Florida home.

But the Biden Justice Department forced them to do it anyway.

"Very little has been developed related to who might be culpable for mishandling the documents," an FBI assistant special agent in charge wrote to another FBI official.¹

The Washington Field Office had been drafting a search warrant affidavit but had major reservations.

"WFO has some concerns that the information is single source, has not been corroborated, and may be dated," the FBI official continued.¹

The FBI's preference was clear — pursue "alternative, less intrusive and likelier quicker options for resolution" to reclaim any potential classified records rather than an armed raid.¹

One FBI agent summed up the frustration inside the bureau with a blunt assessment.

"We haven't generated any new facts, but keep being given draft after draft after draft," the agent wrote weeks before the raid. "Absent a witness coming forward with recent information about classified on site, at what point is it fair to table this?"¹

The agent then asked the question that exposed the entire operation.

"It is time consuming for the team, and not productive if there are no new facts supporting PC (probable cause)?"¹

DOJ Official Said He "Frankly Doesn't Give A Damn About The Optics"

Despite FBI resistance, Biden's Justice Department steamrolled ahead with the unprecedented raid.

The emails revealed the turning point came during an August 3, 2022 call between Deputy Assistant Attorney General George Toscas and agents from the FBI's Washington Field Office.¹

That's when Toscas uttered the five words that exposed the entire political operation.

According to an email documenting the call, Toscas stated "that 'he frankly doesn't give a damn about the optics'" of raiding a former President's home just months before announcing his 2024 presidential campaign.¹

The FBI agent who documented the call expressed alarm at the DOJ's reckless attitude.

"Since we heard Mr. Toscas say yesterday in the call that he 'frankly doesn't give a damn about the optics' and Mr. Bratt has already built an antagonistic relationship with (Trump) attorneys…I think it is more than fair to say that the DOJ contact with (Trump attorney) just prior to the execution of the warrant will not go well," the agent warned.¹

The agent added a prescient warning about what would happen if the FBI proceeded with the raid against their professional judgment.

"I understand that this request may not go well at DOJ, however, it is the FBI serving and executing the search and it will be our personnel who will have to deal with the reaction to that first contact," the agent wrote.¹

Attorney General Merrick Garland personally approved the unprecedented raid despite all the FBI's concerns.

Biden Administration Authorized Deadly Force Against Trump

The corruption went beyond just ignoring FBI concerns about probable cause.

The Biden administration authorized the use of deadly force during the August 2022 raid of Mar-a-Lago.

An "Operations Order" produced in discovery revealed the FBI planned to bring "Standard Issue Weapons," "Ammo," "Handcuffs," and "medium and large sized bolt cutters" but were instructed to wear "unmarked polo or collared shirts" and keep "law enforcement equipment concealed."¹

The raid lasted nearly ten hours, with agents searching 58 bedrooms and 33 bathrooms across the 17-acre estate — including the bedrooms of Melania Trump and Barron Trump.

This wasn't a measured law enforcement operation.

This was a political hit job designed to generate damaging headlines against Biden's chief political rival heading into the 2024 election.

Special Counsel Jack Smith charged Trump with 37 felony counts out of the investigation, including willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and false statements.

Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges.

After Trump won the 2024 presidential election in a landslide, Smith dropped all charges.

The raid was always about politics, not law enforcement — and now the emails prove it.

FBI agents knew there was no probable cause.

But Biden's Justice Department didn't care because destroying Donald Trump mattered more than following the Constitution.
