Donald Trump stunned Washington by naming Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to run the Department of Health and Human Services and Tulsi Gabbard to serve as the Director of National Intelligence.
Trump wants Kennedy to clean out the lying bureaucrats who misled the American people through COVID with their misinformation about mandates and restrictions.
Kennedy will also implement his Make America Healthy Again agenda to get chemicals out of foods and provide greater transparency on vaccine research.
Trump wants Gabbard in place to help him end the war in Ukraine, end the abusive warrantless spying in Section 702 of the FISA law, and expel Deep State operatives that ran scams like the Ukraine impeachment hoax.
Needless to say, the Swamp, Big Pharma, and the Deep State are gearing up to kill these two nominations dead.
But the Bulwark’s Marc Caputo – one of the best sources for reporters in Trump’s orbit – wrote that Trump is preparing for war to win the confirmation fights for Gabbard and Kennedy.
Caputo wrote that Trump sees confirming Kennedy and Gabbard as the culmination of him remaking the Republican Party into a majority coalition, as Kennedy and Gabbard endorsing Trump played a pivotal role in winning over anti-establishment voters and old school disaffected Democrats who realized the Democrat Party was no longer the party of JFK.
“Gabbard’s and Kennedy’s nominations, like Hegseth’s and Patel’s, have met resistance in pockets of the Senate. But Trump allies view the stakes differently. Confirming Gabbard and Kennedy is seen as an opportunity for the president-elect to cement his legacy of broadening the Republican coalition to include disaffected Democrats and independents,” Caputo wrote.
Gabbard and Kennedy are also favorites of podcasters like Joe Rogan who played an outsized role in Trump being able to circumvent the fake news media and taking his message directly to the voters.
“They note that the two are considered Blue MAGA rock stars among the Trump faithful. They’re both loved by the new influential podcasters whom Trump courted this election and give Trump the chance to burnish his anti-establishment bona fides,” Caputo added.
Trump allies say the stage is set for Trump to go to war with Senate RINOs who may oppose these two because they are in the pocket of Big Pharma or they are warmongers who just want the U.S. involved in endless wars.
“The appointments of RFK and Tulsi Gabbard represent a realignment in American politics that you saw in the election,” longtime Trump aide Roger Stone told Caputo. “He understands the historical significance of that realignment.”
Other Trump allies told Caputo Trump was prepared to go nuclear for Gabbard and Kennedy.
“Frankly, Pete [Hegseth] might not make it,” a Trump advisor relayed to Caputo. “We’ll see. I’m not sure if the boss is willing to fight for that because there are people in our own camp who aren’t sure it’s worth it. But Kash [Patel] should get confirmed. And if they try to touch Tulsi and Kennedy, then it’s war.”
“If Tulsi or Bobby face real trouble, that’s when Trump will really start to fight. They represent the challenging of the status quo of the bureaucracy. That’s what MAGA is about,” the second Trump advisor added.
