Donald Trump has a lot of people in his ear about his next term in office.
He has people reaching out that he never expected.
And Donald Trump was stunned when Dave Ramsey gave him this advice about the Washington, D.C. Swamp.
Donald Trump fights the Washington, D.C. Swamp over his cabinet nominations
The first major battle of President-elect Donald Trump’s second term began before he took office.
He won a mandate from voters to bring change to Washington, D.C.
That’s why he nominated cabinet picks who wouldn’t be afraid to shake things up.
His first nominee for Attorney General, former Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL), withdrew his nomination to avoid being a distraction after the media ran a smear campaign against him.
Trump’s Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth is taking the brunt of the media’s fire now, but he’s facing more contentious fights over his other picks.
The Washington, D.C. Swamp is lining up to oppose FBI director nominee Kash Patel, Director of National Intelligence nominee Tulsi Gabbard, and Secretary Health and Human Services nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Senate RINOs want to keep nominees who would bring real change to Washington, D.C. from being confirmed.
Dave Ramsey gives advice to Donald Trump on his cabinet selections
Personal finance guru Dave Ramsey had a blunt message for Trump about his cabinet nominees during an appearance on the Fox Business show Cavuto: Coast to Coast.
He told the President-elect to stand strong with his picks.
“There’ll be a time where you have to fish or cut bait,” Ramsey said. “A leader that won’t stand beside their team and cover their back the first time something gets rough, sends a signal to the rest of the team that he’s not going [to] stand there.”
Trump said that he has complete confidence in Hegseth during an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press.
Ramsey said that in these types of situations, he stands his ground in the face of pressure.
“If I were in this situation, I’m going [to] back this until I make a decision not to,” Ramsey explained. “I’m not going [to] waffle in the public eye. I’m going [to] do all this directly with the leader and decide whether we’re going [to] move forward or not together.”
The personal finance expert admitted that Trump didn’t make his cabinet selections to please the RINOs in the Senate.
“I don’t think he picked them for Senate confirmation,” Ramsey stated. “He picked them because their values align with where he wants to go.”
He thought that Trump valued loyalty in his cabinet selections.
“He’s looking for people who, if they disagree with him, they’re going [to] disagree, they’re going [to] have a good healthy disagreement,” Ramsey added. “But not someone who’s going [to] slit his throat from behind.”
Ramsey offered what he thought were the criteria that Trump used to evaluate a potential cabinet pick.
“Are our values lined up? Is there an alignment on loyalty? Are they smart enough, skilled enough to do the job in front of them?” Ramsey asked.
He urged Trump to stick to his guns and ignore the media frenzy.
“You can’t let the masses dictate your leadership. Because if you do, you’ll soon figure out that the ‘m’ is silent,” Ramsey said.
Donald Trump will have to show his resolve in his first showdown with the Swamp of his second term.
