Donald Trump was faced with this major decision about the Secret Service

Sep 20, 2024

The Secret Service had another disturbing failure trying to protect Donald Trump.

Now the former President is trying to figure out what comes next.

And Donald Trump was faced with this major decision about the Secret Service.

Secret Service’s ability to protect Trump called into question

58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh set up a sniper nest by a fence near the sixth hole of the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Secret Service agents managed to spot his scoped rifle peaking through the fence and opened fire on him.

Trump was within 300 to 500 yards of Routh while he was playing golf.

It remains a mystery how the would-be assassin was able to set up unnoticed near a busy road and how he knew that Trump was going to be playing golf that day.

Another shocking assassination attempt against the former President raises serious questions about the Secret Service’s ability to protect him.

U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) told Just the News, No Noise that Trump needs to consider creating a new head of security for his campaign to oversee the Secret Service.

“Again, we shouldn’t have to rely on the sharp eyes of one Secret Service agent and the potential assassin putting his muzzle out through the fence where it could be seen,” Johnson explained. “Again, that is just, you know, too much luck, quite honestly, to rely on.”

Johnson said the assassination attempt against Trump at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, should have been a wake-up call.

“And quite honestly, this is what I recommend after [July] 13th, President Trump needs a head of security in his campaign, and that person has to be overseeing all this and making sure that what the Secret Service is providing is adequate, or else President Trump can’t show up at these venues,” Johnson explained.

Use the Navy SEALs to protect Trump

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow that something needs to change after the latest assassination attempt against Trump.

“They’re trying to kill the only guy that has a chance to get this fixed,” Tuberville said. “Of course, President Biden, I don’t know who’s running our country, but somebody needs to step to the plate and at least act like you care about a Republican candidate. But they truly don’t. They could care less.”

The former Auburn football coach said that it was time to bring in the military to protect Trump.

“There, there needs to be SEAL teams, there needs to be military, I don’t know what these people are thinking,” Tuberville said. “And of course, Chuck Schumer and McConnell, all these people running around up here with all kinds of security in Washington, D.C. And the one man that we need to protect his life, is Donald Trump, and they refuse to do it.”

The investigation into the Secret Service’s failures during the first assassination attempt against Trump is still ongoing.

And the agency has been slow to make changes in response.

Donald Trump may have to do something drastic to ensure his security moving forward.
