Oprah was one of the surprise speakers at the Democratic National Convention.

Oprah endorses Kamala Harris
Democrats hope to win this election by running up huge margins with suburban female voters.
And going back to her popular daytime talk show in the 1990s, there isn’t anyone in America more trusted by suburban women than Oprah.
But rather than paint an uplifting picture of what life would be like under Kamala Harris, Oprah described an apocalyptic final battle between good versus evil.
Oprah told delegates and television viewers that they needed to prepare to vote one final time to finally rid America of Donald Trump once and for all.
“There’s a certain candidate that says if we just go to the polls this one time, we’ll never have to do it again,” Oprah declared.
Oprah tried to present herself as an “independent,” even though all her acts in politics have been as a partisan Democrat.
“So I’m calling on all you independents and all you undecideds. You know this is true. You know I’m telling you the truth, that values and character matter most of all,” Oprah continued. “In leadership and in life.”
Oprah then stuck to the Democrat message that this election is about “vibes,” so she never offered up a policy proposal or accomplishment from Kamala Harris’ past that would indicate she can improve the lives of the American people.
“Common sense tells you that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz can give us decency and respect,” Oprah added.
Oprah then tried to cast Trump as a cult leader who brought out the worst in America.
“Let us choose loyalty to the Constitution over loyalty to any individual because that’s the best of America. And let us choose optimism over cynicism and let us include inclusion over retribution,” Oprah stated.
Oprah once adored Trump
As Oprah was speaking, Trump’s campaign posted a handwritten letter on her personal stationary that Oprah sent to Trump.
In the letter, Oprah praised Trump for his kind words and even admitted they made her a “little weepy.”
Oprah ended the letter by wishing she and Trump could run as a Presidential ticket writing, “Too bad we’re not running for office, what a team!”
