Joe Biden spent four years letting illegal aliens drive up home prices.
Now Donald Trump is making sure the banks stop bankrolling it.
And the Fed just confirmed exactly how much Joe Biden’s scheme cost homeowners.
The Hidden Pipeline Funding the Housing Crisis
Biden's open-border disaster didn't just cost you in crime statistics and overwhelmed schools.
It hit you in your mortgage payment.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas just confirmed what every American already knew: the Biden-era illegal immigration surge – 7 million unauthorized migrants flooding the country from 2021 to 2024 – drove up home prices by 30 percent and rents by 20 percent in the average metropolitan area.
A 2.2 percent jump in home prices for every single percentage point increase in unauthorized workers.

And American banks – your banks – were financing the whole operation.
Using Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers instead of Social Security numbers, illegal aliens were quietly accessing mortgages, auto loans, and credit cards at institutions from coast to coast.
Biden's CFPB in October 2023 told lenders to stop considering immigration status at all – a direct instruction to pretend deportation risk doesn't exist.
The law said otherwise.
The Equal Credit Opportunity Act explicitly authorizes lenders to consider immigration status when evaluating their repayment rights.
Biden's regulators didn't care.
Trump Shuts the Pipeline Down
Monday morning, three of the most powerful banking regulators in America – the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., and the National Credit Union Administration – dropped joint guidance that changes everything.
Banks are now required to treat illegal immigration status as a material credit risk.
They must account for the possibility that an unauthorized borrower gets caught in a workplace raid, loses his income, and can't make his mortgage payment.

Comptroller Jonathan Gould oversees the majority of banking system assets in America, and on Monday – marking his first year in office – he made clear the era of looking the other way is over.
Lawful customers will be judged on "objective risk," not political preferences.
The new rules deploy the same "transition risk" framework banks were forced to use for climate policy – except this time, the risk is real.
An illegal alien getting deported before repaying a $400,000 mortgage is a measurable financial event.
A hurricane fifty years from now is not.
What This Actually Means for American Homebuyers
This is the part Democrats don't want you to figure out.
When illegal aliens could access mortgages with no questions asked about deportation risk, their purchasing power was artificially inflated – and that drove up prices on every home in markets with high concentrations of unauthorized workers.
Your mortgage payment went up because your government let illegals bid against you – and then directed banks to finance those bids.
The Dallas Fed economists found that housing construction didn't expand fast enough to absorb that demand shock.
Builders couldn't keep up.
American families couldn't compete.

Now banks will be required to charge higher rates, demand larger down payments, or reject loan applications outright when repayment depends on income from unauthorized employment.
Trump didn't just secure the border.
He just started securing your neighborhood's housing market.
The Biden administration spent four years pretending they had no choice – that blocking illegal aliens from the financial system would somehow violate civil rights law.
Monday's guidance didn't just prove that was a lie.
It proved the law always said the opposite – and Biden's CFPB ignored it anyway.
