Donald Trump Just Made the Biggest Names in Tech Sign Something They Called a Constitution

Oct 2, 2026

Joe Biden spent four years letting China eat America's lunch on artificial intelligence.

Now the most powerful tech executives on the planet just flew to the White House and signed a document Trump called a new kind of constitution.

What the biggest names in tech agreed to sign – and what Trump said it means for China – changes everything.

Musk Zuckerberg and the Rest Just Signed Something They Can Never Unsign

Elon Musk. Mark Zuckerberg. Dario Amodei. Jensen Huang.

The CEOs of xAI, Meta, Anthropic, and Nvidia – companies that together control the future of American technology – sat down with President Trump Tuesday and signed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence.

It wasn't a government mandate.

It wasn't a Democrat-style regulation written by bureaucrats who've never built anything.

It was voluntary.

That's the part the media won't explain to you: these executives chose to be there, chose to sign, and chose to make a public commitment to internal controls and layered oversight of their own systems.

Mike Johnson stood outside the West Wing and laid out what they agreed to.

"The super intelligence providers are committed to building trust as they help us build the future," Johnson said. "They expressed their desire to take accountability and ownership, and we have just formally signed a new document."

The accord sets forth internal risk reviews, external auditors, and a requirement that each company's board of directors independently review the reports that come back from those auditors.

Zuckerberg called it a start – not the finish line.

"The idea isn't that this is the only thing that we will ever do," he said. "It is that this is a start and an accord that the whole industry could come to."

Trump put his own name on it.

"They love our country, they love the world," he said of the executives. "And they came together, and they did something … it's almost like a constitution in a way."

Trump Told the Entire UN It Would Be Playing by Americas Rules

The signing came alongside something equally significant.

Trump signed an executive order Tuesday requiring the entire executive branch to retire the term "artificial intelligence" – the order instructs agencies to stop acknowledging it altogether – and adopt "Super Intelligence" and "SI" in everything from internal memos to public-facing websites.

He first announced the rebrand at the United Nations General Assembly last week, telling the assembled world leaders that "from this point forward, all United States documents, and hopefully the world's, will be changed to use the much more accurate term 'super,' as opposed to 'artificial.'"

The order goes further than terminology.

It instructs the assistant to the president for science and technology to develop a federal definition of SI and recommend any additional executive actions needed to make the new framework stick.

Trump has been direct about why this matters.

"Whoever wins SI, whoever wins superintelligence, wins," he told reporters. "That's the group that wins."

He's right – and here's why Democrats are furious about it.

China Is Already Moving and Biden Did Nothing

While Biden spent his four years trying to regulate AI into submission – signing an executive order in 2023 that Trump immediately repealed when he returned to office – China was sprinting.

Xi Jinping declared in 2021 that "technological innovation has become the main battleground of the global playing field."

China put billions behind that declaration.

Nicolas Chaillan – the Pentagon's first-ever Chief Software Officer – walked off the job and said publicly that China had already beaten America in the technology race.

Trump reversed that trajectory the moment he came back.

He launched the Stargate AI infrastructure initiative, stripped Biden's regulatory stranglehold from the industry, and has now convened the most powerful gathering of tech leadership in American history to align private industry behind a national SI strategy.

The Left wants you to think this is about branding.

It isn't.

Whoever defines superintelligence – whoever sets the standards, builds the infrastructure, and leads the development – controls the technology that will determine military dominance, economic power, and national sovereignty for the next century.

Trump just made sure that's America, not Beijing.

The globalists at the UN wanted a "globalist scheme" to control this technology through international bodies where China gets an equal vote.

Trump told them no – and then flew home and put pen to paper with the people actually building it.

That's what leadership looks like.
