Biden set 5,000 illegal aliens free every single day at his peak.
Now Trump's DHS just announced something Biden's open-borders crowd said could never happen.
Thirteen straight months – and not one illegal alien released at the border.
Biden Released 76 Percent of Everyone He Caught
December 2023 was the month Biden's border team cut loose 191,141 illegal aliens in a single month – a 76.5 percent release rate – just from Southwest border apprehensions alone.
Over four years, the Biden administration released more than 3.3 million illegal aliens into the United States.
That's not a border policy.
That's an invitation.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced this week that the Trump administration has now completed 13 consecutive months of zero releases at the southwest border.
Zero.
Not "fewer." Not "reduced." Zero.
"Under President Donald Trump's leadership, we are delivering the most secure border in American history," Mullin said.
From 17,000 in One Sector to 323 a Day Nationwide
The numbers are almost impossible to comprehend if you lived through the Biden years.
In 2023, Border Patrol agents arrested approximately 17,000 illegal aliens in a single five-day period in just one border sector.
In May 2026, the average daily apprehension count for the entire southwest border was 323.
That's not sector-by-sector.
That's the whole border.
Total May apprehensions came in at 9,998 – a 94 percent drop from the monthly average under Biden, and 96 percent below peak Biden-era months.
CBP reports southwest border crossing numbers this low haven't been recorded in over 30 years.
Biden's people told you it couldn't be done without "comprehensive immigration reform." What they meant was they didn't want to do it.
What Happens When the Border Actually Works
Here's what Democrats never told you about catch-and-release: the cartels loved it.
Every illegal alien released was a paying customer who funded the cartel that smuggled them.
That money bought weapons.
It bought fentanyl labs.
It bought the infrastructure to do it all again next month.
Cut the flow, and you cut their budget.
CBP is now reporting a 56 percent increase in total drug seizures compared to the same period in fiscal year 2024.
Fentanyl seizures jumped 72 percent from April to May 2026 alone.
Every major category is up – cocaine, meth, heroin, marijuana – 32 percent higher year-over-year in May.
And the downstream effects are showing up in American cities.
DHS data shows homicide fell 17 percent across 30 U.S. cities in the first half of 2025 compared to the year before.
Gun assaults down 21 percent. Sexual assault down 10 percent. Carjacking down 24 percent.
Karoline Leavitt cited Council on Criminal Justice data showing 2025 may produce the lowest homicide rate since 1900 – the largest single-year percentage drop ever recorded.
That's what happens when a president actually enforces the law.
The Democrats Who Said It Was Impossible
This is the part that deserves to be said plainly.
Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the entire Democrat caucus spent years telling you the border couldn't be fixed without their help – without amnesty, without open pathways, without treating every illegal alien as a future Democrat voter they needed to protect.
They were lying.
The border was always fixable.
They just didn't want to fix it.
Thirteen months of zero releases isn't luck.
It isn't a seasonal adjustment.
It's what leadership with the political will to enforce the law actually looks like.
Democrats built a crisis.
Trump fixed it.
The next time a Democrat senator goes on CNN to explain why border security is "complicated" – remember 323 arrests a day versus 17,000 in five days in one sector.
It was never complicated.
They just didn't want you to know that.
