Donald Trump keeps showing that the 2024 election cycle is nothing like 2020.
Democrats got some bad news.
And Donald Trump just got the one endorsement that drove Democrats mad.
Nikki Haley announces she’s endorsing Donald Trump
RINO former South Carolina Governor was the last remaining GOP challenger who had yet to endorse Donald Trump.
Democrats and their propagandists in the media hoped Haley – who scolded Pro-Life activists for being extreme, went wobbly on transgenderism, and backed Biden’s blank check for the war in Ukraine – would sit on the sidelines in the 2024 race.
That would signal to her slice of the GOP electorate that it was ok to either vote for GOP Biden or stay home in November.
But while Nikki Haley is a RINO, she’s also an ambitious politician.
And Haley knows there’s no purchase in the GOP for someone who tacitly endorses Joe Biden by refusing to support Donald Trump.
Haley hopes to help the Mitt Romney/Liz Cheney wing of the GOP return to power in 2028, when she’s likely to run for President again.
So Haley bit the bullet and endorsed Donald Trump during her first event as head of the center-right Hudson Institute.
“As a voter, I put my priorities on a president who’s going to have the backs of our allies and hold our enemies to account, who would secure the border, no more excuses,” Haley stated.
“A president who would support capitalism and freedom, a president who understands we need less debt not more debt,” Haley added.
Haley made sure to signal to her establishment donors that she wasn’t signing on to Trump’s MAGA agenda and that this was just a pro forma endorsement.
“Trump has not been perfect on these policies. I’ve made that clear, many, many times. But Biden has been a catastrophe. So, I will be voting for Trump,” Haley added.
Media freaks out
MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace is emblematic of the Never-Trump movement.
Wallace served in the Bush White House and then transitioned into the media, where she showed her true colors as a liberal who would attack conservatives.
When Donald Trump won in 2016, Wallace stopped even pretending to be a Republican and assumed her final form as a partisan Democrat.
After Haley endorsed Trump – even as half-hearted as it was – Wallace flipped out on her Deadline: White House show and claimed Haley was now a Trump cultist.
“We need shrinks and cult experts to explain this because what you’re reporting doesn’t make a lick of sense to me, and it’s so recent. I mean, J.D. Vance, in 2015, said something similar. But for her and her husband to both have been feuding publicly with him just days and weeks before endorsing him is inexplicable to me at a human level,” Wallace stated.
Haley endorsing Trump has Wallace and the rest of the media in panic mode because it shows the Republican Party is putting aside differences to unite behind a common purpose of defeating Joe Biden.
Even RINOs who hate Trump and want to purge the Trump movement from the Republican Party know that they have no political future without him.
