Chuck Schumer just hired the man who armed Mexican drug cartels and the lawyer who paid for a fake Russian spy dossier to run his 2026 election operation.
Trump saw it immediately.
Now he's telling Republicans exactly what's coming – and what they need to do to stop it.
The Man Who Armed the Cartels
Schumer stood on the Senate floor last week and announced a formal Democrat "Election Integrity Group" to oversee the 2026 midterms.
He said it with a straight face.
Eric Holder served as Barack Obama's Attorney General from 2009 to 2015.
Conservatives know him for one thing: Fast and Furious – the Justice Department operation that allowed guns to walk across the border into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered with one of those weapons.

Holder was held in contempt of Congress over it.
After leaving the Justice Department, he became chair of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee – a group built to challenge Republican-drawn electoral maps through litigation.
That's the man Schumer called to protect election integrity.
The Lawyer Who Paid for the Dossier
The second recruit is Marc Elias – and if Holder is the muscle, Elias is the brains.
Elias served as general counsel for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and was connected to the funding arrangement behind the Steele dossier – the debunked foreign-sourced document Democrats used to claim Trump was a Russian agent.
He spent years after 2020 filing lawsuits in battleground states – challenging voter ID laws, extending mail-in ballot deadlines, blocking election roll cleanups in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Georgia.
His own law firm's website says it is "committed to helping Democrats win."
That's not protecting elections.

That's a legal operation designed to manufacture outcomes.
What Trump Said and Why It Matters
Trump did not let this slide.
"Palestinian Chuck Schumer is hiring Eric Holder, famous for handing guns to Mexican cartels under the Barack Hussein Obama administration, as part of a Democrat-led 'Election Integrity Group' that will no doubt try to suppress Republican voters, and interfere in our Elections," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He kept going.
"Furthermore, Marc Elias, a terrible lawyer with a horrible track record, is also involved," he said. "This is the same disgusting individual who was responsible for the fake Russia dossier from a foreign nation to meddle in the 2016 Election, which I won in historic fashion."
"The Democrats are totally unhinged and we will not allow them to threaten the integrity of our Elections," he added.

Schumer framed the task force as protection from "the direct threats posed by President Trump and MAGA Republicans" – which tells you exactly what this operation is really about.
Trump also reminded his base what the Republican machine built in 2024 – an Election Integrity Army deployed in every state that helped him win every swing state and carry both the Electoral College and the popular vote.
He said the 2026 version will be "much bigger and stronger."
What Schumer's Task Force Is Actually For
Elias and Holder don't win elections at the ballot box – they win them in courtrooms.
Holder's post-AG career has been spent running redistricting litigation to redraw maps in Democrats' favor.
Elias flooded key states before and after 2020 with lawsuits – challenging signature match requirements, extending mail-in ballot deadlines, blocking Republican poll watchers.
The task force Schumer just launched is not a response to a threat.
It is the activation of an infrastructure that was already built.

The plan is to challenge any version of the SAVE Act that passes, keep mail-in ballot rules loose in key Senate battlegrounds, and flood the zone with lawyers the moment November results start coming in.
Trump sees the clock ticking – which is why he's not making a diplomatic statement.
He's naming names, calling them what they are, and telling Republicans they had better be ready.
Schumer just handed them the playbook and dared them to do something about it.
Republicans have two choices: deploy a bigger army than 2024 and bury Elias in every courtroom he enters, or watch the same operation that worked in 2020 run back for a third time while they talk about Senate procedure.
There is no middle option.
