Joe Biden's pardon was supposed to make Hunter disappear from politics forever.
Now Hunter Biden is on social media with 420,000 followers, hinting at a 2028 presidential run – and Trump just weighed in.

The Party That Keeps Lowering the Bar
Trump didn't say Hunter Biden couldn't win in 2028.
He said Hunter could win – if Democrats keep nominating people like Graham Platner.
Platner is the Maine Democrat running to unseat Susan Collins who spent 20 years walking around with a Nazi SS tattoo on his chest.
He deleted thousands of Reddit posts after launching his campaign – including one where he wrote that a wounded Purple Heart recipient "didn't deserve to live."
His own wife flagged sexually explicit texts he'd been sending other women to his campaign staff.

And he's still competitive in the polls.
That's the measuring stick Trump handed Hunter Biden on Thursday, and it wasn't a compliment to either man.
"Hey, if the guy from Maine can do well," Trump told reporters, "I guess Hunter could do well too – because the guy from Maine is a basket case."
What Hunter Biden Is Actually Doing
Hunter Biden jumped back onto X in May, announced "You've never actually heard from me," and has been attacking Trump ever since.
When Trump brought up his troubled past on Thursday, Hunter fired back on X with a quip about Trump's "checkered past."

A convicted felon pardoned by his own father calling someone else's past checkered.
That pardon covered two separate criminal cases.
In June 2024, Hunter was convicted on three felony counts for lying on a federal gun form – swearing he wasn't a drug user when he bought a firearm while addicted to crack cocaine.
Months later he pleaded guilty to nine federal charges for failing to pay over $1.4 million in taxes.
His father wiped it all away in December 2024 – then went out and told the country he'd never said he wouldn't pardon his son.
Why This Comparison Destroys the Democratic Bench Argument
Trump wasn't making a joke.
He was making a point that Democrats have spent two years trying to avoid: their party no longer has a floor.
A candidate can carry a Nazi tattoo for two decades, mock wounded veterans online, and sext multiple women while married – and still have Elizabeth Warren calling him "the real deal."
That's the same Elizabeth Warren who warned that Pete Hegseth's Christian tattoos made him a potential security threat.

That's the party Hunter Biden would be running in.
Hunter isn't running yet – but the fact that "Hunter 2028" is a serious question at a White House press briefing tells you everything about what the Democrat Party has become.
The party that spent four years calling Trump a threat to democracy is now debating whether a pardoned felon or a man with a Nazi tattoo should lead them in 2028.
That's not a bench.
That's a waiting room.
