Donald Trump drove his motorcade across the drained Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to inspect his renovation – and that was just the beginning.
Now his crew is tearing through a beloved park that Democrats let rot for years.
And what workers just hauled out of East Potomac Park will make you furious it sat there for this long.
A Park That Democrats Let Fall Apart
East Potomac Park has been drawing Washingtonians and tourists since 1912.
Golf course, public pool, tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, river trails – it's the kind of place families are supposed to enjoy on a Sunday afternoon.
The operative word is "supposed to."
By 2015 the place was a mess – deteriorating seawalls along the Potomac, holes in the sidewalk big enough for a child to fall into, and a golf course going to seed.
Biden had four years and a blank checkbook.
He spent it turning DC's public spaces into homeless encampments while parks like East Potomac crumbled.
Trump's National Park Service just changed that.
Workers cleared out piles of debris that had no business being in a federal park – rotting wooden pallets, rusted barrels, broken equipment, abandoned trash cans.
Decrepit fencing has been pulled out.
More than 60 hazardous, invasive, and dying trees – a real safety risk to anyone walking the trails – are gone.
"By removing hazardous trees and invasive species and controlling overgrowth along fences and seawalls, the National Park Service is improving visibility, access, safety, and the overall condition and appearance of the park," NPS officials told Breitbart News exclusively.
That's the government doing its actual job.
This Is Part of Something Bigger
East Potomac Park isn't a one-off.
Trump signed the "Making the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful" executive order and the results have been rolling in ever since.
US Park Police cleared roughly 75 homeless encampments from DC's federal parks and scrubbed up to 80 graffiti sites from Capitol Hill Parks.
The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool – which had leaked and looked disgusting since it was built in 1922 – got a full renovation this spring, with Trump watching the "American flag blue" coating go in from the basin floor.

The fountains at Meridian Hill Park are running again.
Union Station – which Biden let turn into a sprawling homeless encampment – is being restored into the transportation hub it was built to be.
This is what it looks like when a president actually cares about the country he runs.
Lady Bird Johnson added cherry trees to East Potomac Park in the 1960s as part of her own capital beautification push.
It took sixty years and a Democrat disaster for someone to pick up where she left off.
Democrats Are Fighting the Cleanup
Here's the part that should make every American furious.
Rep. Jamie Raskin and others wrote to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and National Park Service Acting Director Jessica Bowron in July complaining about what they called a "rushed redevelopment" of the park.
The park that had been rotting since 2015.
The park with child-sized holes in the sidewalk.
The park they did nothing about for ten years.
Now that Trump is fixing it, suddenly they're outraged.
The Left doesn't want Washington, DC cleaned up.
A dirty, broken-down capital is a living monument to the idea that government can't solve problems – and Democrats need voters to believe that so they can keep demanding power to fix the problems they created.
Trump is proving them wrong in real time, block by block, park by park.
NPS officials say the work lays the groundwork for healthier, safer public spaces and creates a stronger foundation for the long-term preservation of the park's historic landscape.
That's not spin.
That's a park where your grandkids can actually play without falling into a hole.
