Joe Biden tied the hands of law enforcement to enforce immigration law.
That’s all going to change with a new sheriff coming to town in Washington, D.C.
Now, Donald Trump is taking the handcuffs off ICE with one move that had Democrats panicking.
Donald Trump will remove restrictions on ICE arresting illegal aliens
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will be the tip of the spear for President-elect Donald Trump’s plan to conduct mass deportations of illegal aliens.
Trump’s “Border Czar” Tom Homan – a former acting ICE director – revealed that ICE agents will be the ones who are going into communities to apprehend illegal aliens.
A new report claims that the President-elect is going to be taking the handcuffs off ICE in their pursuit of illegal aliens.
Impeached Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas issued a policy in 2021 under the Biden-Harris administration that designates “protected enforcement areas” where ICE agents aren’t allowed to make arrests without the authorization of their commanders.
In or around religious institutions, schools, places where children gather, hospitals and clinics, demonstrations, and other protected areas are off-limits for ICE agents.
An illegal alien can run into a church or playground and ICE agents can’t touch them until they can get in touch with their superiors.
Pro-illegal immigration groups have used this loophole to their advantage to protect illegal aliens in these sanctuaries.
“Absent exigent circumstances, DHS officers and agents must seek prior approval from their agency’s headquarters or an authorized delegate before taking an enforcement action in or near a protected area,” Mayorkas’ policy states.
“To the fullest extent possible, any enforcement actions in or near a protected area should be taken in a non-public area, outside of public view, and to eliminate or minimize the chance that the enforcement action will prevent people from accessing the protected area,” Mayorkas added.
The Trump administration is taking off the gloves to remove illegal aliens
A former Department of Homeland Security official told NBC News that lifting the restricted areas policy was good news for ICE because illegal aliens had “abused” it.
“I think maybe at the time, there was good reason for it,” the former Homeland Security official said. “I don’t think it’s necessary anymore.”
Illegal aliens would live in some churches for years to avoid being deported.
Churches that specialize in providing sanctuary to illegal aliens are panicking at the changes.
“A lot of churches, faith communities are very concerned that there could be backlash,” an Arizona church deacon, who housed illegal aliens, stated.
During Trump’s first term, ICE made 68 arrests in or near these protected areas.
The roadblocks set up by federal, state, and local governments to protect illegal aliens are coming down when Trump returns to the White House next year.
Homan vowed that sanctuary states and cities wouldn’t stop ICE from deporting illegal aliens in those jurisdictions.
“If you are not going to help us, get the hell out of the way ’cause we’re gonna do it,” Homan declared.
Donald Trump is going to give law enforcement the power and the resources to deport illegal aliens.
