Donald Trump Called Out the Minnesota Fraud Network and Ilhan Omar Went Quiet

May 31, 2026

Aimee Bock is going to prison for nearly 42 years for stealing $250 million from a program meant to feed children.

Now Trump is closing in on everyone else connected to what federal prosecutors called the largest pandemic relief fraud scheme in American history.

What the congresswoman representing that district did next tells you exactly who she's working for.

The Fraud Network Trump Is Dismantling

Here is what happened in Minnesota while Tim Walz was governor and Ilhan Omar was representing the district.

A nonprofit called Feeding Our Future claimed to be feeding 91 million meals to low-income children.

They weren't feeding anyone.

They were billing the federal government $250 million in fake claims and spending the money on luxury cars, international vacations, and real estate – with Treasury Department investigators finding evidence that some stolen funds were routed toward al-Shabaab, the Somali terrorist organization.

Of the 92 defendants arrested in the scheme, 82 were Somali Americans, according to the Minnesota U.S. Attorney's Office.

One suspect accused of an $11 million Medicaid fraud skipped his court date this spring – after posting a $150,000 bond, which apparently posed no obstacle for a man accused of stealing $11 million.

He's now on the run.

And that's just the headline case.

The total fraud figure being investigated now exceeds $9 billion.

Vance's Task Force Is Just Getting Started

Trump brought up the fraud task force at Wednesday's Cabinet meeting because it's working.

In two months, Vance's team has done what Minnesota Democrats refused to do in two years.

Just last week, 15 people were indicted in Minnesota for a $90 million Medicaid fraud scheme – the largest autism fraud case ever charged by the federal government.

The Trump Administration has already halted $260 million in Medicaid payments to Minnesota pending full cooperation with federal investigators.

When CMS cut off 800 suspected fraudulent providers, fewer than 20 even tried to contest the decision.

Vance made the obvious point: "So at least 780 are not even trying to claim that they're not fraudulent."

The DOJ has now created a new National Fraud Enforcement division to coordinate the crackdown coast to coast.

Minnesota is ground zero.

What Omar Has Done About It

Ilhan Omar represents Minnesota's 5th Congressional District – the heart of Minneapolis and the center of the Somali community.

JD Vance said this year he was "certain" Omar committed immigration fraud herself – the long-running allegation that she married her brother in 2009 to bring him to the United States.

The House Oversight Committee is now investigating Omar's finances alongside her husband's to determine whether they're tied to the fraud allegations at Somali-run childcare centers in the state.

The Justice Department opened a probe into Omar's campaign spending and her interactions with a foreign citizen during the Biden years – a probe that stalled because Biden's DOJ didn't push it.

Trump's DOJ is not Biden's DOJ.

When pressed on CNN to explain how the fraud in her district got "so out of control," Omar changed the subject.

When Trump called her out at Wednesday's Cabinet meeting, her office didn't return the press calls.

When Vance announced the fraud task force was coming for Minnesota, Omar tweeted about "bigotry."

She represents the people whose tax dollars were stolen – the working-class Minnesotans whose government programs were looted by a criminal network operating in her own district – and her response is to accuse the investigators of racism.

Here's the pattern your local news won't explain.

Every major fraud network in Minnesota operated inside a congressional district with a Democrat protecting it.

Walz was governor when the state ignored FBI warnings about Feeding Our Future for two full years.

Ellison was attorney general while the housing fraud scheme grew from $3 million to $104 million annually.

Omar was the congresswoman while fraudsters in her own district wired stolen tax dollars to a terrorist organization.

None of them acted.

All three are now attacking the people cleaning it up.

That's not a coincidence.

That's a business model.
