Barron Trump almost never shows up in public.
Now the whole world just found out why his father brought him to the biggest soccer match on earth.

The President Who Learned Soccer From His Kid
Donald Trump flew Marine One over MetLife Stadium on Sunday before settling in next to FIFA president Gianni Infantino to watch Spain dismantle Argentina 1-0 in extra time.
He brought Barron.
The 20-year-old, who guards his privacy like it's classified information, made the trip to East Rutherford for the biggest sporting event held on American soil in decades.
Before the match, Fox Sports' Jenny Taft sat down with the president for a pregame interview.

Trump admitted something most 80-year-old presidents would never say out loud.
"I get this information from my son – my son Barron is a tremendous soccer fan," Trump told Taft.
He went on to praise Messi and Ronaldo as two of the all-time greats, then added the kind of self-deprecating line that only Trump can deliver.
"They have a pretty good life – much easier than my life, actually," he said.
This Started in the East Room Back in March
This wasn't the first time Barron's soccer obsession made headlines.
Back in March, Trump hosted Lionel Messi and the Inter Miami squad at the White House to celebrate their 2025 MLS Cup championship – the first visit Messi had ever made to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Trump couldn't help himself.
"My son said, 'Dad, do you know who's going to be there today?' I said, 'No, I got a lot of things going on.' He said, 'Messi,'" Trump recalled.
He then turned to the Argentine legend directly.
"He's a big fan of yours. He thinks you're just a great person," he said.

Trump also called Barron a good soccer player in his own right – not just a fan who watches, but a kid who actually plays the game.
Democrats Wanted This to Fail
Here's what makes Sunday more than just a feel-good father-son story.
Democrats spent months hoping the World Cup would blow up in Trump's face.
Democratic digital strategist Rob Flaherty admitted it out loud to Politico: "I think that there was a little bit of like liberal wishcasting that this would maybe be a disaster to sort of stick it to Trump."
It wasn't a disaster.
It was the greatest sporting event in American history.
More than 6.5 million fans attended matches across 16 host cities – nearly doubling the previous world record, which was also set when America hosted in 1994.
Stadiums ran at 99.7% capacity.
Fans from 200 countries showed up and nearly 6 billion people watched on television.
Karoline Leavitt called it before the final whistle even sounded: "The most watched, most secure, and most successful World Cup in American history."

Trump secured the U.S. hosting bid back in 2018 – seven years before a single ball was kicked.
He then stood on that same field on Sunday and presented medals to the winners while Democrats choked on every record that fell.
That very tall kid standing next to him in the stands understood what was happening better than most.
Barron Trump's been studying this game his whole life.
