Don Jr. just married a woman who may have bigger ambitions than anyone realizes.
And those ambitions didn't wait for the honeymoon to start.
Before the wedding photos were even posted, the new Mrs. Trump had already updated her Instagram handle – and sources say that move was the first step in a much longer plan.
The Name Change Heard Round Palm Beach
Within hours of tying the knot with Donald Trump Jr. on Little Pipe Cay – a private Bahamian island featured in James Bond films – Bettina Anderson updated her Instagram handle to "Trump" and showed off an ivory gown with the words "Mrs. Trump" embroidered on the fabric.
Her updated bio now reads: "Married. Not domesticated."

Sources close to the 39-year-old aren't being subtle about what comes next.
"First lady? Are you kidding? Of course she would love that," one insider told the Daily Mail.
"That is pretty much her life goal realized. She changed her handle on Instagram to Trump faster than posting any wedding photos," the insider said.
The Path Isn't as Far-Fetched as It Sounds
Here's what the media won't tell you: Don Jr. is already a serious 2028 contender.
A McLaughlin and Associates poll found Trump Jr. sitting at 21 percent support among Republican primary voters – second only to Vice President JD Vance.
Betting markets have taken notice, with odds on Don Jr. winning the White House in 2028 shortening dramatically over the past year.
President Trump has remained deliberately noncommittal, saying Vance is "most likely" his successor while simultaneously noting there are "a lot of very capable people."
Don Jr. has been fueling the speculation himself.
Speaking at the Qatar Economic Forum, he refused to rule out a run.
"Maybe one day, you know, that calling is there," he said.
That's not a denial.
Bettina didn't stumble into the Trump family either.
This is a Columbia University graduate, a founder of a nonprofit disaster relief organization, and a two-decade fixture in Palm Beach's elite charitable circles.

Her father made history as the youngest bank president in America at 26 years old.
She knows exactly what she married into – and she's been ready for it.
At their Mar-a-Lago bridal shower, she made her intentions clear.
"I feel honored to join your family and to fight by your side, Don, through whatever life brings us," she told the gathering. "And to become your wife is the greatest honor, and I will stand by your side through anything."
That's not a toast.
That's an enlistment.
She Already Wanted the White House Wedding
Before they settled on the Bahamas, Bettina had floated a White House wedding – a move sources described at the time as positioning the couple for "future political roles."
President Trump and Don Jr. ultimately decided a White House wedding was inappropriate given the ongoing conflict with Iran.
But the fact that it was seriously considered tells you something.
Roughly 40 guests attended the Bahamas ceremony, including Don Jr.'s five children and siblings Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany.
President Trump stayed in Washington, citing his responsibility to the country during the Iran situation.
Bettina's half-sister Mea Stone – who was not invited – offered a frank assessment of the new Mrs. Trump.
"She has a very strong personality, and she'll do very well in that relationship," Stone said. "She'll be able to cope with the spotlight – although she doesn't do very well with criticism. So that should be interesting."
Stone also told the Daily Mail she expects the couple to stay in Palm Beach and focus on family first.

"That's what she's wanted her whole life," she said of Bettina's desire for children. "In some ways, I think babies are more important to her than who the husband was."
America Should Be Paying Attention
The Trump dynasty isn't a metaphor anymore.
Don Jr. has spent his father's second term actively building a national profile – traveling to Greenland to drum up support for U.S. control of the territory, speaking at conservative events across the country, and making clear at the Qatar Economic Forum that a 2028 run is not off the table.
President Trump stayed in Washington during the wedding because Iran required his attention.
He had a country to run.
And if the polls hold, his son may be running it next.
Now Don Jr. has a wife who embroidered "Mrs. Trump" on her wedding gown before the first photo was posted – a woman who grew up in Palm Beach elite circles, graduated Columbia, built a nonprofit, and changed her Instagram handle within hours of saying "I do."
Your grandchildren are going to grow up knowing the name Bettina Trump.
The only question is whether they'll know it from a Palm Beach society page or from the East Wing of the White House.
