Democrats have been attacking ICE agents since Trump took office.
Now the violence against law enforcement has reached a breaking point.
And a DHS official dropped one truth bomb that left Minneapolis Mayor fuming.
DHS confronts media lies about Minneapolis ICE shooting
Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security Lauren Biss held a press conference to set the record straight after last week's ICE shootings in Minneapolis and Portland.
The media and sanctuary politicians immediately began spreading lies about what happened when ICE agent Jonathan Ross shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis.
Democrats claimed Good was driving away from officers and that she was denied medical care after being shot.
Biss revealed the video footage that proves the real story.
"ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers, and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them," Biss said.
An ICE officer fearing for his life fired defensive shots that killed Good.
The footage corroborates what DHS stated from the beginning about Good impeding law enforcement and weaponizing her vehicle to kill or cause bodily harm to federal officers.
"Immediately our ICE officers got medics," Biss explained. "There was an ambulance on the scene. The individual was pronounced dead."
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey had gone on a profanity-laced tirade after the shooting, calling ICE's account garbage and demanding agents "get the f**k out of Minneapolis."
CNN caught spreading fake news about Portland Tren de Aragua gang members
The Portland shooting on Thursday drew similar lies from the media and Democrats.
Border Patrol agents attempted to arrest suspected Tren de Aragua gang members Luis David Nino-Moncada and Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras.
Zambrano-Contreras played an active role in a Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and was involved in a prior shooting in Portland.
But CNN portrayed them as an innocent married couple shot by Border Patrol.
"How does CNN choose to portray these suspected gang members as an innocent married couple shot by Border Patrol?" Biss asked. "Give me a break."
Biden released these two suspected gang associates into the country, and they attacked Border Patrol agents with their vehicle in Portland.
Vehicle attacks on ICE agents surge 3,200% under Democrat rhetoric
Biss revealed the shocking statistics showing the explosion in violence against ICE agents since Trump took office.
The numbers tell the story Democrats don't want Americans to know.
Assaults on ICE agents jumped 1,300% since Trump took office.
Vehicle attacks skyrocketed 3,200%.
Death threats exploded 8,000%.
"These attacks are a direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on law enforcement," Biss stated.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz called ICE agents "Trump's modern-day Gestapo."
Minneapolis Mayor Frey demanded ICE agents "get the f**k out of Minneapolis."
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called for people to "fight" Trump's agenda "in the streets."
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker claimed the United States is "essentially" becoming Nazi Germany because of ICE operations.
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu compared mask-wearing ICE agents to a Neo-Nazi group.
Vermont Congresswoman Becca Balint likened ICE officers to "vigilantes" engaging in "kidnapping."
This isn't just rhetoric with no consequences.
Look at the numbers from just the past year.
ICE agents got attacked with vehicles 66 times between January 21, 2025 and January 7, 2026.
The year before? Two attacks.
Total assaults on ICE agents hit 275 from January 20 through December 31, 2025.
That compares to 19 assaults during the same stretch in 2024.
These are men and women who are simply enforcing the laws on the books.
Democrats created an environment where violent criminals think they can attack federal agents and get away with it.
A pedophile hammered an ICE officer in the face with a metal coffee cup, breaking his lip open with a laceration requiring 13 stitches.
Suspected Tren de Aragua gang member Luis Jesus Acosta Gutierrez rammed a law enforcement vehicle into a tree during a vehicle stop.
ICE officers were targeted during two separate vehicular assaults in the Chicago metro area.
An illegal alien hit an ICE officer with a vehicle, nearly crushing the officer.
The message from DHS is clear: attacking law enforcement will be met with prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
