The DNC just hocked its own building for $15 million and still owes more than it owns.
Now the polls are in – and even CNN's own data guy can't spin this one.
Republicans are winning on Iran, winning on favorability, and sitting on $128 million while Democrats beg the bank for rent money.
The Party That Wants to Run America Can't Run Its Own Books
Ken Martin runs the DNC. He just put the party's Washington headquarters up as collateral for a $15 million loan – the largest off-year loan in the committee's history.
That loan didn't fix anything.
The DNC ended June with $16.3 million in cash and $18.5 million in debts.
That's a net worth of negative $2.2 million – 100 days before the midterms.
The RNC has $128.5 million in cash and zero debt.
Republicans hold a $130 million cash advantage over the party that claims it's fighting for the working man.

It gets worse.
Before one finance meeting, DNC officers had to sign NDAs just to get in the room.
One anonymous DNC member told NOTUS: "Ken gaslighting us about the DNC's finances and not being transparent about the financial situation makes us doubt if he can oversee the DNC during the most important primary of our lifetime."
Then the party told congressional Democrats directly: no transfers to House and Senate campaign committees this cycle.
Democrats running in swing districts are on their own.
CNN's Own Analyst Says Democrats Have Hit Record Lows and Can't Capitalize on Any of It
Democrats spent the last six months convinced the Iran war would hand them the House.
It didn't work.
CNN's Harry Enten – not a Republican, not a Fox News contributor, CNN's own chief data analyst – just delivered the verdict Democrats didn't want to hear.
Two separate polls, a CNBC survey and a CBS News survey, both showed Republicans trusted more on Iran than Democrats – by two points each.
In April, Democrats led on that same question by two points.
The shift went the wrong direction for them.
"The American people simply put are not buying what Democrats are selling on Iran," Enten said on air. "They still trust Republicans more."
Then Enten dropped the bigger number.
Congressional Democrats' net approval rating has hit the lowest level ever recorded in Quinnipiac's polling history.

Fifty-five points underwater.
Their approval rating has fallen below 20 percent – and with independents, they're at negative 61 points.
"Quinnipiac has been polling this question for the better part of the 21st century," Enten said. "They have never found Democrats, at least those in Congress, in worse shape than they are right now."
Democrats aren't just losing independents – they're losing their own voters.
Congressional Democrats' favorability with their own party members dropped 28 points in a single month.
What the Democrats Are Offering Is Why They're Losing
The polling disaster isn't a mystery.
Democrats in Congress spent the last two years promising to abolish ICE, open the borders, grant blanket amnesty, and defund police departments across the country.
Their most vocal socialist wing wants to abolish the Senate and gut the Constitution itself.
That plays in San Francisco. It doesn't play anywhere else.
The Fox News poll captures the damage – Democrats hit their lowest favorable rating ever recorded, while Republicans registered their best favorable rating since 2014.
The cash gap makes the polling gap irreversible.
The DCCC is targeting 35 Republican-held House seats to flip the majority.
Control of the House likely turns on fewer than 20 of them.
Those races need television ads in the final six weeks, and television ads in swing districts cost real money.

The DNC just told congressional Democrats there's none coming.
That's not a messaging problem.
That's candidates showing up to a knife fight without a knife.
Republicans have been through this movie – just from the other side. In 2018, when Democrats had the enthusiasm wave and the cash advantage, Republicans lost 41 House seats.
The DNC had a net favorable rating of plus-eight points that cycle.
Today Democrats are sitting at negative 20.
They are running 28 points behind their own 2018 benchmark with the same number of days on the clock.
Meanwhile, party leaders quietly asked vendors to hold their invoices until after Election Day – so the balance sheet would look less catastrophic heading into November.
That's not a party gearing up for a wave.
That's a party hoping nobody notices the lights are about to go out.
