Dave Ramsey endorses Donald Trump and faces cancel mob
Dave Ramsey did something he’s never done before.
And that’s endorse a Presidential candidate.
Ramsey told his 15 million listeners that he decided to vote for Donald Trump after the economy-centric interview he conducted with Trump.
Ramsey previously said neither candidate in this race is anyone’s “savior.”
And Ramsey largely stuck to that position, telling his audience to “hold their nose” when they vote but that he was voting for Trump because Trump is the best candidate on the issues Ramsey cares about.
“I suggest you hold your nose and you vote,” Ramsey stated. “There’s something I disagree with and I’m going to vote anyway. That’s how I made the decision to vote for Trump, was the boxes that were checked.”
For Ramsey, his endorsement came down to the fact that Trump’s plans to unleash American energy and cut taxes meant good news for the new economy.
Ramsey told Fox News after the interview that Trump was “direct and very knowledgeable about tax rates and about the things that move in the energy world and how that does intersect the economy, and how to control a commodity market as best you can from the presidential seat.”
But Ramsey also said he held no ill will toward anyone in his audience who planned to vote for Kamala Harris, as long as they were civil about their disagreements.
“If you want to vote the other way, as long you’re being thoughtful about it and you’re being a nice person, we’re still friends. I’m okay with you. I’m not mad at you. Some of you are never gonna listen to me again after this. That’s okay, I can deal with that. That’s happened to me for 30 years,” Ramsey continued.
But what Ramsey said he had no patience for was the cancel mob threatening to try and take his show off the air because he supported Trump.
Ramsey warned the woke outrage brigade that any attempt to cancel his show would fail because he owns the show, so they can’t pressure some corporate overlord to yank him.
“People have threatened me with, ‘I’m going to cancel you.’ That’s hard to do. I own the show, and so you’re not gonna get to cancel me. So you can leave, but you can’t cancel me,” Ramsey declared.
