CNN spent four years telling you to trust the experts and never ask questions.
Now Dana Bash learned what happens when someone finally asks her the same thing.
RFK Jr gave her the vaccine endorsement she demanded on live television – then stopped the interview cold with one question that exposed exactly what CNN has been doing all along.

Bash had one goal Sunday morning: get Kennedy on camera endorsing the measles vaccine so CNN could clip it, share it, and declare victory over vaccine hesitancy.
She got her clip.
"Parents should get their children vaccinated for measles," Kennedy told her directly. "A measles vaccine is effective. It stops measles in about 97% of the cases."
But Kennedy didn't stop there.
He asked Bash the one question she was completely unprepared for.
"Do you see your job as ending vaccine hesitancy, or do you see your job as telling the truth to the American people?" he asked.
"I see my job as telling the truth," she said.
Kennedy didn't let it go.

He reminded her – on her own air – that Anthony Fauci's private diaries revealed that COVID lockdowns, not vaccine skeptics, were responsible for children missing their measles shots.
He told her she spent four years punishing Americans for not trusting experts who were actively lying to them.
He told her she wasn't a journalist – she was a parrot.
"All you know how to do is repeat things that people told you and say, 'Trust the experts.' That's what you do," he said.
Bash's response was telling: "I don't want to have you use our air to say this."
A journalist who doesn't want the truth spoken on her own show.
The Numbers Dana Bash Doesn't Want You To See
Bash pinned the measles surge on Kennedy and Trump.
The facts don't cooperate.
The United States currently has 2,371 confirmed measles cases in 2026 – the highest single-year total since measles was declared eliminated in 2000.
But Kennedy pointed out something Bash had no answer for: Mexico has 15 times more measles per capita than the United States.
Canada has four times more.
England has twice as many cases per capita.

The surge is international.
It predates Kennedy's tenure at HHS.
And 93% of American cases are tied to outbreaks – most of which started in communities with documented low vaccination rates that declined during COVID lockdowns.
Fauci's own diaries acknowledged this.
The lockdowns Bash defended, the school closures she cheered, the expert mandates she promoted – those are what kept children from their pediatricians and their routine vaccinations.
Kennedy wasn't on CNN defending vaccine hesitancy.
He was explaining who built it.
What CNN Called a Win
After the interview ended, CNN issued a statement calling it "newsmaking."
They're right – just not for the reason they think.
The newsworthy moment was a sitting cabinet secretary forcing a major network anchor to answer, in real time, whether she sees her job as ending vaccine hesitancy or telling the truth – and watching her struggle to explain the difference.
Bash accused Kennedy of causing problems through vaccine skepticism.
Kennedy responded by asking her to cite the studies she was referencing.

She couldn't produce them on command.
That's the same CNN that spent years demanding you trust the science – as long as you didn't ask which science or who funded it.
Fauci's diaries show that during the pandemic, Bash was texting him privately to tell him he was "a better man" than the Republican congressmen pressing him for answers.
She never disclosed that relationship to her audience.
Now she's the arbiter of truth on vaccines.
Kennedy told her to her face: "You were scaring people. That was the job of CNN."
She just said she didn't want him using her air to say so.
