Democrats turn on Biden over mysterious drone flights
Even Democrats are starting to ask questions about the mysterious drone flights over New Jersey.
Unidentified aircraft spent the last month whizzing over the skies in the Tri-State area and residents are demanding answers.
The Biden administration’s only response to date amounted to “nothing to see here.”
Many Americans agree with Donald Trump’s call to shoot down the drones if they are from a foreign country.
The pressure to get to the bottom of this phenomenon reached a critical mass to the point where even Chuck Schumer is demanding Biden take action.
Schumer wrote on social media that Biden should deploy aerial technology to detect drone flights to determine the origin of these craft.
“I’m pushing for answers amid these drone sightings,” Schumer posted. “I’m calling for @SecMayorkas to deploy special drone-detection tech across NY and NJ. And I’m working to pass a bill in the Senate to give local law enforcement more tools for drone detection.”
Schumer wasn’t alone.
New Jersey Democrat Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill – a former Navy helicopter pilot – also called on Biden to deploy military assets to ascertain the nature of these drone flights.
“After weeks of unidentified drone sightings over New Jersey, two things are clear: One, the drones remain unidentified, and two, the people of New Jersey need clearer, more consistent communication as to what our government is learning and doing about the drones,” Sherrill stated. “New Jerseyans’ patience is getting very thin, including my own.”
The New Jersey Globe reported that Sherrill proposed Biden “deploy Reaper drones and counter unmanned aircraft systems radars to locate and track drones that have been spotted flying across New Jersey over the last four weeks.”
Sherrill slammed the Biden administration’s keystone cops’ routine response to these drone flights.
“I’m incredibly frustrated Right now, our leaders need to be acting in accordance with a unified plan, and speaking with one voice in order to protect our national security, keep New Jerseyans safe, and ensure state and local authorities have the information and tools they need to take action,” Sherrill added.
New Jerseyans spotted drones over military bases, nuclear power plants, and Trump’s Bedminster golf course.
Sherrill said it’s long past time for the Biden administration to come clean about these flights.
“When this volume of unidentified aircraft conduct flights over civilian and military airspace, we need a swift, cohesive response and a streamlined, coherent line of communication to the public,” Sherrill continued. “We need action, we need speed, we need effectiveness. We have felt little of this to date.”
