Democrats made a big bet on lawfare destroying Donald Trump before the election.
They watched their plans go up in flames.
And Chris Cuomo revealed one hard truth about the Trump witch hunt Democrats won’t speak.
Stephen A. Smith tells Chris Cuomo it looks like Trump faced a witch hunt
President Joe Biden gave Hunter Biden a corrupt pardon for every federal crime he committed since January 1, 2014, after telling the public for months he wouldn’t.
Biden laughably claimed that his son was singled out for political persecution by his Justice Department.
The President said that Hunter Biden had been treated unfairly by the justice system because he was his son.
ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith blasted Biden for the pardon during an appearance on Chris Cuomo’s NewsNation show.
“The Biden situation disgusted me in terms of departing only from this standpoint,” Smith said. “You wanna be a cynic, and you want to act like you would be offended by something like that? If you’re one of those people out there, fine. But no one within reason would and would have a problem with him saying, ‘It’s my son. I love him. There’s no way I’m sending him to jail, and I have the power to avoid it.’ Nobody will blame him for that. But that’s not where he went.”
Smith noted that Biden claimed the prosecution of his son was political and that the same argument could be about the criminal cases against President-elect Donald Trump.
“Well, wait a minute. What have y’all been doing with Donald Trump all of these years?” Smith asked. “Now, you can make an argument about the legitimacy of the cases against Donald Trump compared to what wasn’t illegitimate, etc. That’s not the point. The point is it was clearly politicized.”
Democrats used lawfare as an election strategy
Smith admitted that Democrats wanted to use lawfare against Trump to derail his Presidential campaign.
“You had folks on the Left who were hellbent on going after Donald Trump because they were determined to make sure that he couldn’t run for reelection,” Smith stated. “And now we know why more than ever because they weren’t confident they would ever be able to beat him.”
The ESPN commentator was beside himself that Biden would claim his son was the victim of a witch hunt when Trump faced one.
“And so, for him to come out and the talk about that,” Smith said. “This was a witch hunt, when clearly it could be argued that’s exactly what you were doing to Donald Trump. What you assisted in doing seems beyond hypocritical, and that was what disgusted me. It wasn’t his decision. It wasn’t him pardoning his son. It was the weak, pathetic explanation that he gave, which has most critics just shaking their heads and raising their eyebrows, saying, ‘What nerve you have.’”
More of the media is ready to admit the truth about the lawfare against Trump now that the election is over and he won a decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
The narrative that Biden pushed that no one is above the law crumbled when he pardoned his son.
Public perception is shifting and more people can see that the President is a shameless hack who wields the justice system for his political benefit.
Joe Biden will leave office as a disgraced figure who tried to throw his political opponents in jail.
