Joe Biden spent four years telling you things were getting better.
Now the Census Bureau just released the actual numbers from 2025.
And these Census Bureau numbers show Donald Trump did something no president has done since the government started keeping score.
The Number That Should Be on Every Front Page
The official poverty rate in the United States just hit 10.2% – the lowest figure ever recorded since the Census Bureau began tracking it.
Not the lowest in a decade.
Not the lowest since Reagan.
The lowest ever.
Median household income hit $87,460 – an all-time record going back nearly six decades of federal data.

Child poverty reached a historic low of 13.4%.
Hispanic poverty fell to 13.9%, another all-time record.
Real household income surpassed the previous record set during Trump's own first term.
He broke his own record.
Since January 2025, the private sector has driven over one million new jobs – with nearly every single gain coming from private employers, not government payrolls built on your tax dollars.
What the Left Is Saying About Results They Can't Argue With
Some on the Left are calling the Census Bureau wrong.
Twitch streamer Hasan Piker – who has millions of followers and spends his days lecturing working Americans about poverty – posted that ordinary Americans "continue to foot the bill" and that the data showed "more poverty at home."
The federal government's own nonpartisan measurement says the opposite.
Democrats spent decades claiming poverty was impossible to reduce without expanding government programs.

They said you needed more Medicaid, more food stamps, more bureaucracy.
Trump cut the red tape, freed the private sector, and posted the best poverty numbers in recorded American history.
The South is leading the charge.
Business consultant Andrew Beck noted on X that while coastal elites in New York, LA, and DC complain about prices, people in Alabama, Indiana, and Georgia are getting new jobs, raises, and growing their businesses.
That's what happens when you stop punishing success and start rewarding work.
Why 85% of Americans Still Think Things Are Getting Worse
Here's the part the media won't tell you.
Even with these historic numbers, roughly 85% of Americans told Fox News pollsters their personal financial situation was worsening or holding steady throughout 2025.
That gap – between what the data shows and what people feel – is what four years of relentless negative media coverage produces.
Studies going back years have shown Americans consistently believe the national economy is worse than their own personal situation.
They feel fine about their own finances but assume everyone else is suffering – because that's the story the news keeps telling.
The Iran war drove up gas prices – and that pain is real.
Tariffs added costs.
Housing remains expensive relative to wages.

But a poverty rate that has never been lower in American history?
That's not a press release.
That's what 60 years of federal data looks like when a president actually delivers.
The media won't put it on the front page because good news about Trump doesn't get clicks.
Your neighbors in Alabama and Georgia know the truth.
The numbers just confirmed it.
