Carrie Underwood made one choice that left Hollywood celebrities white as a ghost

Aug 2, 2025

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood has been quietly living a life that puts most Americans to shame.

While other celebrities lecture the country about their latest woke cause, Underwood is doing something that terrifies the Hollywood elite.

And Carrie Underwood made one choice that left Hollywood celebrities white as a ghost.

Carrie Underwood chooses farm life over Hollywood glamour

At a time when most celebrities are virtue signaling about climate change while flying around in private jets, Carrie Underwood is actually walking the walk.

The "Before He Cheats" singer has embraced traditional country living on her Tennessee farm.

While her Hollywood peers are busy lecturing Americans about their carbon footprints, Underwood is building something authentic with her husband Mike Fisher and their two sons, Isaiah and Jacob – a working homestead where they raise animals and grow their own food.¹

The timing couldn’t be more perfect.

As Americans watch grocery prices skyrocket under Democrat policies, Underwood is showing them there’s a better way to live.

She’s been learning traditional skills like food preservation and making her own clothes, working toward a goal that would make any red-blooded American proud – complete food independence from the grocery store system.²

This month, Underwood shared photos of fresh tomatoes and peaches from her own harvest.

But it was a recent social media post that really showed what separates her from the Hollywood crowd.

Underwood described going out to her orchard to tend to her animals when she decided to spend some time in prayer.

"I love praying out loud in the orchard . . . it’s so beautiful and peaceful," she wrote.³

That’s when something happened that perfectly captured the spiritual battle facing America today.

Just 15 seconds into her prayer, a snake appeared in the nearby blueberry bushes.

Most Hollywood celebrities would have run screaming.

Instead, Underwood used the moment as a powerful lesson about faith and perseverance.

"The devil is always there . . . watching . . . lurking . . . even when we feel at our closest with God," she wrote. "Being a Christian isn’t a free ticket out of trouble. The world is full of evil . . . BUT God is with us."⁴

Underwood’s lifestyle puts celebrity hypocrites to shame

The contrast between Underwood’s authentic lifestyle and the typical celebrity approach couldn’t be starker.

While other stars preach about environmental responsibility from their Beverly Hills mansions, Underwood is actually living it.

She’s been mastering food preservation techniques, recently making soups and pot pie fillings along with cobbler preparations from her own harvest.

"Canning is the perfect way to make use of everything and save myself some time later on when I need a quick meal!" she wrote, admitting she "tried to do something with all the plums we’ve got growing here."⁵

Even when she wasn’t sure exactly what she’d created – "jam or plum butter or some sort of sauce" – Underwood stayed positive and productive.

"I’ll figure out something to do with it! I feel accomplished!!! Yay me!" she added.

This is the kind of can-do American spirit that built this country.

The farm lifestyle has become so central to Underwood’s identity that she even brought it to her "American Idol" judging duties.

She showed up to a taping in May wearing a shirt she’d crocheted herself featuring tomato designs.⁶

She found a way to tie in the new gig with her life on the farm, naming a lamb that was born the same day as the season finale of the show Jamal after winner Jamal Roberts.

A goal that terrifies the political establishment

Here’s what really has the Hollywood elite and Washington, D.C. establishment nervous about Underwood’s lifestyle choice.

In a 2023 interview, she revealed her ultimate goal was to no longer have to purchase any food from a store.⁷

Think about what that means for the corporate food system that keeps Americans dependent on big agriculture and government subsidies.

"I love that our meals, especially dinner, it’s like you look on our plate and everything on our plates is something that either came from the garden or my husband’s a hunter," Underwood explained. "We eat what we have. We eat seasonally. It all tastes delicious because it’s food."

She’s also eliminated food waste completely – anything her family doesn’t use goes to her chicken coop or to compost.

This isn’t just about growing vegetables.

This is about the kind of self-reliance that made America great.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, while most celebrities were complaining about lockdowns from their luxury homes, Underwood and Fisher used the time to expand their gardening operation.

"I love the heat here in Tennessee, and it just made me happy to, you know, grow something from nothing," she said. "It feels like little miracles every time I get something."⁸

The farm project started as soon as they moved to their home outside Nashville, but the pandemic gave them the opportunity to really make it something major.

"It’s fun," Underwood noted. "You know you’re doing something good for you. It feels good to physically do all of these things."

Traditional values in an upside-down world

Carrie Underwood’s choice to embrace traditional country living represents something much bigger than personal preference.

When celebrities constantly lecture Americans about how to live while doing the opposite themselves, Underwood is actually practicing what she preaches.

She’s raising her children to understand where food comes from, the value of hard work, and the importance of faith.

The Hollywood establishment hates this because it exposes their hypocrisy.

They can’t attack her for being authentic.

They can’t claim she’s harming the environment when she’s literally growing her own food and eliminating waste.

And they definitely can’t criticize her for being out of touch when she’s doing the kind of work that millions of Americans wish they could do.

Underwood’s journey from "American Idol" winner to country music royalty to homesteading farm wife shows that success doesn’t have to mean abandoning your values.

While other celebrities chase the latest trends and political causes, she’s focused on the timeless principles that built America – faith, family, hard work, and self-reliance.

That’s a lesson that resonates far beyond Nashville, and it’s exactly what this country needs right now.
