Bruce Springsteen Just Called ICE Agents Terrorists and Bought a Tour to Prove It

Apr 4, 2026

Bruce Springsteen sold his music catalog to Sony for around $500 million in 2021.

Now he's spending his credibility telling America that the agents deporting criminal illegal aliens are the real terrorists.

That's his word — and he said it on stage in New York City last week.

The Quote That Launched the Land of Hope and Dreams Tour

Springsteen told a New York City audience on March 23 that his tour would hit Portland and Los Angeles next — and he told them exactly why those cities made the list.

They're "two other cities where they had to deal with ICE, ICE's terror."

His word: Terror.

Not the MS-13 members Tom Homan's team pulled off Minnesota streets.

Not the thousands of criminal illegal aliens the White House confirmed were arrested during Operation Metro Surge.

Not the killers and rapists that Karoline Leavitt said Democrats invited into American communities when they left the border wide open.

The terror, according to a man sitting on a half-billion-dollar catalog sale, is the federal agents enforcing the law.

Springsteen kicked off his "Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour" Tuesday night in Minneapolis — the city he's been using as a political prop since January — and promised the tour ends May 27 in Washington, D.C., where he'll have "a few choice words for the White House."

What Operation Metro Surge Actually Delivered in Minnesota

The White House announced a clear result: more than 4,000 arrests in Minnesota since Operation Metro Surge launched.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the operation delivered exactly what Americans demanded — criminal illegal aliens off the streets — and accused Democrats of having spent years letting those threats into the country in the first place.

Border Czar Tom Homan credited the operation with producing a level of cooperation from local officials that simply didn't exist before Trump forced the issue.

Springsteen's answer to all of that is a protest song and a tour itinerary designed like a Democrat congressional map: Minneapolis, Portland, Los Angeles, Washington.

He's not going to Tulsa.

He's not going to Nashville.

He's performing for the Americans who tried to block ICE at every turn and lost — not the ones who paid the price for open borders with their safety.

The Man Who Misread Born in the USA Is Doing It Again

Here's the part worth remembering.

Springsteen launched his Born in the U.S.A. tour in 1984 in Minnesota behind a song that Reagan's campaign tried to adopt as a patriotic anthem.

Springsteen was furious.

He wrote it as a lament, not a celebration.

Forty years later, he's doing the same thing in reverse.

He's taking a federal law enforcement operation that removed thousands of criminal illegal aliens from Minnesota communities and repackaging it for coastal audiences as an invasion of American cities by federal troops.

Trump called him "a dried out prune of a rocker" with "Radical Left Politics."

On the politics, Trump isn't wrong.

Springsteen performed at a "No Kings" rally in St. Paul three days before launching this tour and told a crowd of 100,000 people that Trump's enforcement operation was a "reactionary nightmare."

The man who couldn't stop Reagan from co-opting his music is now voluntarily becoming the soundtrack for the resistance — bankrolled by a catalog sale most working Americans couldn't imagine seeing in their lifetimes.

That's the voice of the working class in 2026.
