Hollywood threw a party for itself at the Golden Globes two weeks ago.
They snubbed the most popular podcast in America, mocked conservatives on stage, and gave each other awards for being woke.
Now Bill Maher – who got embarrassed at that same ceremony – just told Democrats exactly what's destroying their party.
Bill Maher's Golden Globes Humiliation After Wanda Sykes Roast
Maher sat down with the California Post after watching Wanda Sykes mock him to his face on national television.
Sykes presented the Best Stand-Up Comedy award and told Maher: "You give us so much, but I would love a little less."
The camera caught Maher's reaction.
He looked like he'd been slapped.
He lost the award to Ricky Gervais, who didn't even show up.
But the real betrayal came when Hollywood created its first-ever Best Podcast category.
They pretended Joe Rogan doesn't exist.
Rogan's show is number one on Spotify for the sixth straight year, number one on Apple Podcasts, number three on YouTube.
Amy Poehler's "Good Hang" – which doesn't crack the top ten anywhere – won the Globe instead.
Maher didn't stay quiet: "They only nominated like the super woke stuff."
He told the Post exactly what happened: "It was typical and predictable and also ridiculous that Joe Rogan wouldn't be nominated in a category that he dominates."
The Five Words Democrats Need To Hear
Maher dropped the bomb Hollywood has been dreading.
If Democrats want to win elections again, they need to deliver one simple message to their celebrity friends: "Just shut the f*** up."
Five words that explain exactly why Trump won in 2024.
"Hollywood [is] sort of the epicenter of the woke left," Maher told the California Post.
"I don't think they're doing the Democratic Party any favors."
He went straight for the throat: "You don't strike people in most of the country as sensible or in touch with reality."
This comes from a guy who calls himself liberal and votes Democrat every time.
He's watched his party commit suicide for years while celebrities cheer them on.
Before the Globes, Maher predicted on his Real Time podcast that he wouldn't win because "I speak freely, and this woke town f***ing hates that."
Hollywood proved him right by giving Gervais the award while Sykes mocked Maher on stage.
The guy's been nominated 58 times for Emmys – he's won exactly once.
Joe Rogan Podcast Snub Exposed Hollywood's Woke Left Bubble
The Golden Globes exposed the left's entire celebrity problem.
Rogan interviewed Trump for three hours and gave him a platform to reach 50 million people.
That conversation helped Trump connect with young men and independents who decided the election.
Hollywood responded by pretending Rogan doesn't exist.
Conservative podcasts from Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Ben Shapiro, and Candace Owens were all excluded from nominations despite massive audiences.
If you don't follow the woke script, Hollywood acts like you're invisible.
Maher nailed it: "Maybe it just speaks to living in the Bluesky bubble."
That's the liberal Twitter clone where progressives fled after Elon Musk bought X and allowed free speech.
They created their own echo chamber where they only hear opinions they already agree with.
Meanwhile, Rogan talks to everyone from Bernie Sanders to Trump to scientists to comedians – and 50 million people listen.
Celebrity Endorsements Failed Kamala Harris Campaign In 2024
Hollywood spent 2024 lecturing Americans about pronouns, climate hysteria, and why men should play women's sports.
Voters responded by handing Trump the White House and Republicans control of Congress.
Taylor Swift's endorsement drove 400,000 people to register.
Democrats celebrated like they'd won.
They lost anyway because celebrity endorsements don't matter when voters can't afford groceries.
George Clooney wrote op-eds, Robert De Niro gave speeches, the entire cast of "The Avengers" did campaign videos.
Trump still won Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin because regular Americans don't take political advice from millionaires in Malibu.
The Democratic Party used to represent working people.
Now it represents people who give speeches at the Oscars.
Real Time Host Calls Out Kamala Harris Terrible Campaign
When Kamala Harris was asked what she'd do differently than Biden, she said "I can't think of anything."
Maher called it out immediately: "This was not a perfect campaign, and she was far from a perfect candidate."
But Democrats and their Hollywood friends refuse to admit it because that would require self-reflection.
The Globes ceremony proved it – they spent the night congratulating themselves for being morally superior.
Sykes made jokes about "two mediocre white guys" while presenting awards.
She thanked the "trans community" on behalf of Gervais as revenge for his jokes.
The audience ate it up because everyone in that room agrees with each other about everything.
They have no idea that 80% of Americans think biological men shouldn't compete in women's sports.
They don't care that voters rejected their entire agenda in 2024.
Bill Maher's Been Right About Democrats Going Too Far Left
Maher has called out the party for supporting biological men in women's sports.
He's criticized them for defunding police and then wondering why crime went up.
He's mocked them for obsessing over pronouns while inflation destroyed family budgets.
Every time he does this, progressives attack him for not being liberal enough.
Wanda Sykes' joke at the Globes was the establishment telling Maher to shut up.
The problem is that Maher's critics live in the same bubble that cost Democrats the election.
They think anyone who questions woke orthodoxy is secretly conservative.
A Gallup poll in February showed 45% of Democrats wanted the party to become more moderate.
But Hollywood keeps pushing them further left because celebrities only talk to other celebrities.
Maher knows this because unlike other Hollywood liberals, he actually talks to conservatives.
He's had dinner with Trump at the White House – something that made Larry David so mad they stopped being friends.
The Democratic Party has a simple choice: listen to Maher and tell celebrities to shut up, or keep losing elections while Hollywood gives itself awards.
