Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested illegal aliens for heinous crimes on the wealthy resort islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
Former President Barack Obama bought an $11 million oceanfront mansion in Martha’s Vineyard as a vacation home after leaving the White House.
The island is an ultra-exclusive playground for celebrities, Wall Street tycoons, and politicians.
Failed 2004 Democrat Presidential candidate John Kerry owns a mansion on Nantucket.
The Idyllic Islands have seen ICE arrest six illegal aliens for violent crimes in recent months.
“I think many people are concerned about the violent illegal [alien] population,” Nantucket GOP chair Toby Brown told Fox News Digital. “The biggest thing is obviously not knowing anybody’s history if they’re here illegally. The legal immigrants will even discuss that.”
There is no part of the country, no matter how wealthy, that’s untouched by the rampant illegal immigration that the Biden-Harris administration encouraged.
“It’s such a small island that I find that things have gotten a little worse here on Nantucket,” Brown stated.
Communities suffer from crime because of the border crisis
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston announced that it had arrested Warley Neto, an illegal alien from Brazil, in Martha’s Vineyard for five counts of raping a minor.
“Warley Neto allegedly repeatedly assaulted a Massachusetts child and represents a significant threat to the safety of our neighborhoods,” ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd Lyons said in a statement. “Too often local jurisdictions refuse to honor immigration detainers and release dangerous offenders back into the community to reoffend.”
ICE put three immigration detainees on Neto, but they were ignored by local law enforcement because Massachusetts is a sanctuary state.
Neto entered the country illegally through the southern border in Texas.
Elmer Sola, an illegal alien from El Salvador, was arrested by ERO Boston Nantucket for 11 sex crimes against a minor.
“Elmer Sola unlawfully entered the United States, then made his way into our Nantucket community before allegedly committing some horrific and despicable crimes against a child,” Lyons said.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis highlighted the hypocrisy of the Democrat elites in September 2022 when he flew 50 illegal aliens from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard.
They were quickly deported from the island.
“States like Massachusetts, New York, and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies,” DeSantis communication director Taryn Fenske said the time.
Illegal immigration is no longer just a problem for border states or the big cities.
Every community in the country could be forced to deal with the fallout from the Biden-Harris border crisis.
