Obama’s Secret Phone Call to His Favorite Science Celebrity
In a November 4, 2021 diary entry, Fauci recorded something that should make every American’s blood boil.
A Democrat operative named Leslie Dach contacted Barack Obama and asked him to personally call Fauci – to help manage the damage from stories about NIH funding experiments that tortured beagle puppies.
Obama made the call.
He told Fauci he was a “civilian” who shouldn’t have to put up with the scrutiny.
He offered to call Ron Klain and Jeff Zients – White House insiders – to have them “proactively go out and defend” Fauci.

Then Obama unloaded on Trump.
Fauci wrote it down: Obama called Donald Trump Jr. “a f—ing moron,” apologized for the language, and then called Donald Trump himself “a hopeless idiot who was a pathologic liar.”
This was a former president of the United States – coordinating a damage-control campaign for a sitting federal bureaucrat, while trash-talking the sitting president, in a call he didn’t think anyone would ever read.
He was wrong.
The Man Who Marveled at His Own Fame While Americans Died
While grandparents were dying alone in nursing homes and kids were locked out of classrooms, Fauci was writing diary entries about his “explosive and really unimaginable” fame.
He gushed about media appearances.
He tracked his bobblehead sales.
He documented an Instagram Live session with NBA star Steph Curry.
He noted, with evident pleasure, coverage of public “thirst” for him in publications like The Atlantic.
When his image started cracking – first from the beagle experiments exposed by White Coat Waste, then from the mounting evidence that his lockdown policies were destroying lives – Fauci didn’t reflect.
Instead, he ran to Obama.
Justin Goodman, Senior Vice President of White Coat Waste Project, put it plainly: “From the moment we exposed Beaglegate, the Washington establishment – bureaucrats, politicians and the corporate media – circled the wagons to defend Fauci over his funding of deadly dog labs.”
That’s what Obama’s phone call was.
A wagon circle.
Fauci Knew the Wet Market Story Was Dead in January 2020
The diary doesn’t just expose Fauci’s vanity and Obama’s interference.
It exposes Fauci’s lies.
On January 26, 2020, Fauci wrote privately that the Wuhan wet market “was not the source, it was the amplifier” – meaning he knew the market origin story was finished before he ever told the public otherwise.
By April 2020, he was telling Americans the virus was “totally consistent” with a natural animal-to-human jump.
By May 2020, he was dismissing lab leak as a “circular argument.”
His own diary recorded that on February 1, 2020, he was on a call where the scientists gathered were staring at the virus’s furin cleavage site and openly discussing the possibility of deliberate insertion – with significant skepticism about a natural origin.
Fauci heard that discussion and went the other direction – publicly.
He helped orchestrate the “Proximal Origin” paper that became the definitive media weapon against anyone who asked about the lab.
He told reporters he couldn’t remember the authors’ names.
His own diary proves he was working with them from the beginning.

During his 2024 House testimony, Fauci answered “I don’t recall” more than 100 times.
He recalled plenty.
What Happens Wednesday
Fauci testifies before Rand Paul’s Senate committee Wednesday, July 29.
Paul has 1,141 pages of Fauci’s own words to work with – plus emails, Slack messages from the scientists who produced “Proximal Origin,” and subpoena power Fauci tried to dodge before being dragged back in.
The CIA concluded in January 2025 that COVID-19 most likely originated from a Chinese laboratory.
The FBI reached the same conclusion years earlier – and Fauci’s diary records him attacking their credibility for it.
Obama called Trump a pathological liar while his former NIAID director was running a pathological lie operation on the American public.
Wednesday, Fauci sits in the same chair he’s sat in before. Except this time Rand Paul is holding his diary.
