AOC Told a Church That God Works Miracles for Her and She Lied About the Evidence

Sep 15, 2026

AOC once told her Instagram followers that Jesus was born under a government committing genocide against Palestinians.

Now she is standing before the largest black Baptist convention in America while claiming that God personally orchestrated a court victory for her progressive organizing.

And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told a church that God works miracles for her – but she lied about the evidence.

The Miracle That Was Already in Motion Before She Arrived

Speaking in Orlando this week, Ocasio-Cortez told the National Baptist Convention she was "amazed watching how God works" through progressive organizing.

She described touring deep-red states with Bernie Sanders in 2024 – Idaho, Montana, Utah – places pundits called hopeless.

"I felt very called," she told the crowd.

Then came the miracle claim.

She said that after she and Sanders organized in Utah, a judge struck down the Republican-drawn congressional map – and credited her faith-based rallying as the cause.

"It is only because of the organizing that we did in faith when there was no evidence," AOC told the audience.

There is one problem.

The Utah redistricting case has nothing to do with AOC's rally tour.

It stems from a 2018 ballot measure – Proposition 4 – that Utah voters passed before AOC set foot in the state.

The League of Women Voters and Mormon Women for Ethical Government filed their lawsuit in 2022.

The Utah Supreme Court issued its critical ruling in July 2024.

Judge Dianna Gibson struck down the Republican map in August 2025 based on those years of litigation – not a campaign rally.

AOC walked into a legal battle already won by other people and claimed God gave her credit for the finish line.

The Numbers She Inflated While She Was at It

The God-works-miracles narrative was not the only thing that stretched beyond recognition in Orlando.

Ocasio-Cortez told the Baptist convention her 2025 Missoula rally drew "something like 20,000 people."

Reporting from the event placed attendance between 7,500 and 9,000.

Her May 2026 rally for Montana congressional candidate Sam Forstag – the follow-up to that supposedly transformative moment – drew roughly 800 people.

This is the woman telling a church full of believers that miracles are unfolding around her.

The Woman Who Calls Your Faith Dangerous Just Declared Herself God's Instrument

This is the same congresswoman who compared Israeli military operations to Roman persecution of Christians on Christmas Eve – then turned around and accused Republican voters of dangerous Christian nationalism for believing God guides politics.

She has spent years calling conservative Christians theocrats and extremists.

She has mocked Republicans for invoking scripture, for praying publicly, for crediting Providence with political outcomes.

Now she is claiming God guided her Senate prediction for a Democratic Socialist candidate trailing by eight points in Florida.

Angie Nixon – the candidate AOC blessed with her prophecy – is a Democratic Socialists of America member challenging Trump-backed Senator Ashley Moody.

The most recent polling has Moody ahead by eight points.

The miracle may need more time.

Democrats Are Running a Religious Left Operation and Nobody Is Calling It Out

This is not a one-off moment from an erratic congresswoman.

Texas Democrat James Talarico said last June that black churches hold a "deeper and more accurate" understanding of Jesus than white churches.

Democrats are now making a deliberate push into religious spaces – black Baptist conventions, progressive evangelical networks, faith-based organizing – while simultaneously telling conservative Christians their faith is dangerous.

The message is not subtle.

Your God is their political asset.

Their God is off-limits to you.

AOC spent her speech explaining that God is working through open-borders advocacy, socialist organizing, and legal gerrymandering challenges – then predicted Senate miracles for a DSA candidate who cannot close an eight-point gap.

The Utah ruling she claimed as a divine sign was eight years in the making before she ever set foot in the state.

That is not faith.

That is fraud dressed up in scripture.
