AOC went to a Yankees game in April while the government was shut down.
Nobody called her a vibe-killer.
Now Donald Trump is making history as the first sitting president ever to attend an NBA Finals game – and AOC is on Instagram explaining why politicians should stay home.
The Congresswoman With the Very Selective Conscience
On her Instagram Stories, AOC called Trump's Game 3 appearance at Madison Square Garden a "vibe-killer" because the NYPD moved the outdoor watch party to Bryant Park.
The exact same congresswoman posed for selfies in the Yankee Stadium team shop during a government shutdown two months ago.
Nobody moved her watch party.
Nobody complained about her security footprint.
Nobody told her to stay home.
She got a hat, some photos, and not a single hit piece from the people now furious that Trump flew to New York to root for his hometown team.
Here is what actually happened Monday night.
Trump accepted an invitation from Knicks owner James Dolan to watch New York chase its first championship since 1973.
The Secret Service coordinated with the NYPD to move the outdoor gathering to other locations.
The party didn't disappear.
It relocated.
The Pattern AOC Is Counting On You to Forget
This is not the first time.
At the US Open last September, Trump's attendance caused security lines that frustrated fans before the match.
At a Yankees game on September 11, 2025, his presence drew a mixed crowd reaction.
At the FIFA Club World Cup Final at MetLife, same story.
Every single time, the left runs the same play: Trump showed up, Trump ruined it, Trump should stay home.
They never ask whether Obama's security footprint disrupted fans when he attended games.
They never asked whether AOC's Capitol Police detail at Yankee Stadium inconvenienced anyone.

The rule only applies to one person.
Stephen A. Smith said it out loud on his radio show – "I don't want him there" – and then admitted it had nothing to do with policy.
He just didn't want Trump there.
That's it.
That's the argument.
What Tonight Actually Means
In 1973, Trump was 26 years old and the Knicks were champions.
Fifty-three years later, he flew home to New York – the city that spent three decades trying to exile him from polite society – and watched as the president of the United States at the most important sporting event in the building's history.
No other sitting president had ever done it.
Knicks fans have waited since the Clinton administration for this moment.
AOC spent the evening posting Instagram Stories.
Trump was in the building.
That's who your audience should be listening to.
