Joe Biden’s debate performance stuns Democrats and media
President Joe Biden went into the first Presidential debate on CNN with one mission in mind.
The 81-year-old President needed to reassure a deeply skeptical public that he was up to the task of being Commander-in-Chief.
His debate performance was the worst fears of every Democrat come true, and then some.
The problems started the moment the debate began with Biden’s weak and hoarse voice.
He tripped over words like millions and billions and babbled incoherently at times when no one could understand what he was talking about.
And his appearance at the debate set off alarm bells.
Biden would stand there in a daze while Trump was speaking with his mouth agape, not blinking.
First Lady Jill Biden had to escort him off stage, holding him by his arm, after the debate was over while former President Donald Trump confidently walked off.
Democrats and their media allies spent Biden’s first term in office covering for his mental decline.
And his performance on live national TV confirmed the public’s deep concern about the President’s mental and physical fitness.

The scene on the set of CNN after the debate was as somber as the press conference for the losing team at the Super Bowl.
Dejection set in as they realized the enormous political damage that Biden did to his re-election chances.
Calls for the President to drop out of the race began in the media and from anonymous sources in the Democrat Party.
CNN contributor Van Jones – who served as former President Barack Obama’s Green Jobs Czar – was fighting back tears on the post-debate panel.
A visibly shaken Jones pumped Biden up before making his point that he should drop out of the race.
“He didn’t do well at all. He did not do well at all,” Jones lamented. “And he looked, you know, I’ll give you the analysis. You kind of have the old man versus the con man. I can walk you through how I’m supposed to see it and say it, but I just want to speak from my heart.”
Jones showed a rare moment of humanity when he said what happened on the debate stage went beyond politics.
“And I think there’s a lot of people who are going to want to see him consider, taking a different course now,” Jones continued. We’re still far from our convention, and there is time for this party to figure out a different way forward, if he will allow us to do that. But that was, not what we needed from Joe Biden. And it’s personally painful for a lot of people. It’s not just panic. It’s pain of what we saw tonight.”
Biden’s campaign put him on the debate stage to silence critics about his age and mental decline.
Now that move has Democrats trying to push Biden out of the Presidential race.
