An Obama-appointed judge blocked Trump's sanctuary city crackdown in 2025 and wrote "here we are again" in the ruling.
That judge had blocked the exact same order eight years earlier – in Trump's first term.
Trump told a Georgia crowd Wednesday night what he thinks every time he sees who appointed the judge sitting across from him.
Obama's Judges Are Doing His Dirty Work From the Bench
"If Obama puts in a judge, I don't care how good your case is, you barely have a chance of victory," Trump told thousands of supporters in Marietta Wednesday night.
He wasn't venting.
He was describing a documented pattern.
Judge William Orrick – Obama appointee, 2013 – blocked Trump from defunding sanctuary cities in 2017.
Then he blocked it again in 2025.
"Here we are again," Orrick wrote in the ruling – his own words, his own admission that he's been running the same play for nearly a decade.
Judge Denise Casper – Obama appointee, 2010 – permanently blocked multiple provisions of Trump's election integrity executive order last month, ruling he had no authority to require proof of citizenship for voter registration.
Judge Indira Talwani – Obama appointee, 2014 – blocked additional provisions the same week, ruling that requiring states to verify voter citizenship violated the Constitution.
Three judges. Three blocks. All Obama appointees.
All targeting the same Trump agenda.
Stephen Miller went straight at Chief Justice John Roberts after Casper's ruling: "I hope the Chief Justice understands the path these rogue judges have charted for the judiciary."
That's not a complaint.
That's a warning.
Democrats Are Blocking the Fix in the Senate
Trump's election integrity executive order exists because Congress wouldn't act first.
The SAVE America Act – requiring proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote – passed the House in February 2026.
It has the support of 70 to 80 percent of Americans, including a majority of Democrats in public polling.
Senate Democrats are filibustering it anyway.
So Trump signed an executive order. Obama's judges blocked the executive order.

And now Democrats are pointing at the blocked order as proof Trump was "unconstitutional" all along.
That's the game. Block every avenue.
Then declare victory.
The SAVE Act remains stalled in the Senate.
The House set aside $10 billion in its July budget resolution to incentivize states to adopt citizenship verification rather than mandate it – a scaled-back approach courts would find harder to strike down.
Senate Democrats have signaled they'll fight that too.
The Pattern Goes Back to Day One
Obama's judges blocked the travel ban in 2017.
They blocked the election integrity order in 2025 and again in 2026.
Last month they denied Trump expedited access to Wisconsin's voter rolls, with the 7th Circuit refusing to speed up the appeal – running out the clock ahead of the midterms.
That's not a coincidence.
That's a coordinated strategy using lifetime-appointed federal judges as a one-way ratchet against every Republican president who tries to enforce immigration law or secure elections.
The Left doesn't need to win elections when they've already won the judiciary.

They just need their judges to run out the clock – delay long enough, block long enough, until they can get a Democrat back in the White House.
Orrick said it himself.
Eight years of blocking the same orders from the same president, and all he had to say about it was "here we are again."
Trump said it in Marietta.
The question now is whether Republicans have the stomach to end the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act before November – or whether Obama's bench keeps writing American election law from courtrooms in Boston and California.
