An image of Gisele Bündchen in her lingerie is going to have tongues wagging

Gisele Bündchen is one of the most iconic supermodels in history.

But it’s her marriage and divorce to Tom Brady that keeps her in most tabloids.

And now an image of Gisele Bündchen in her lingerie is going to have tongues wagging.

Victoria Secret admits going woke was bad for business

Beginning in 1995, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was a staple of primetime TV.

Airing in November each year, the program featured Victoria Secret’s legendary “angels” walking the runway dressed in the lingerie maker’s most scintillating outfits.

Names like Gisele, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, and Adriana Lima appeared on the show.

But Victoria’s Secret canceled the show in 2019 after falling ratings and a growing online outrage cultivated by the woke mob.

In one sign the woke outrage mob is losing ground in the culture, Victoria’s Secret announced they are bringing back the fashion show this fall.

“We’ve read the comments and heard you,” a post on Victoria Secret’s Instagram read. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is BACK and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love — the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more! Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here.”

“The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will deliver precisely what our customers have been asking for — the glamour, runway, fashion, fun, wings, entertainment — all through a powerful, modern lens reflecting who we are today,” a company representative’s statement to People read.

“We’re thrilled to share a women-led articulation of this iconic property later this year!” the statement added.

The show will feature some of the new names in the fashion industry while also likely bringing back iconic names like Gisele and others.

Victoria’s Secret canceled the show over woke outrage

The ratings for the fashion show gradually fell over time.

But ratings across TV – except for live sports – continue to fall as more Americans cut the cord and switch to streaming platforms to watch shows and movies.

The final straw for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show came in 2018 with then chief marketing officer Ed Razek’s interview with Vogue.

Razek pointed out the simple truth that no one wanted to see transgenders or plus-size models walking the runway next to Gisele in primetime.

“Shouldn’t you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don’t think we should. Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy,” razek stated. “It’s a 42-minute entertainment special. That’s what it is.”

For context, this interview was three years after Caitlyn Jenner won “woman of the year” and was declared “stunning and brave” for being a biological male living life as a woman.

“If you’re asking if we’ve considered putting a transgender model in the show or looked at putting a plus-size model in the show, we have,” Razek added.

But Razek explained the company had to draw ratings and sell bras.

No one wants to see men in women’s lingerie, and the company tried a televised plus-sized fashion show in 2000.

Unsurprisingly, few turned in to see overweight women in revealing outfits.

“We invented the plus-size model show in what was our sister division, Lane Bryant. Lane Bryant still sells plus-size lingerie, but it sells a specific range, just like every specialty retailer in the world sells a range of clothing. As do we. We market to who we sell to, and we don’t market to the whole world. We attempted to do a television special for plus-sizes [in 2000]. No one had any interest in it, still don’t,” Razek added.

These comments all seem like common sense.

Victoria’s Secret really sells fantasy.

That’s all Razek was saying.

Six years later, Victoria’s Secret admitted the brand made a mistake in canceling the show.
