The botched withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 was one of the biggest foreign policy blunders in American history.
President Joe Biden fumbled the situation from beginning to end because of poor planning and preparation.
Vice President Kamala Harris bragged she was the “last person in the room” with Biden when he greenlighted the plan to withdraw.
Afghanistan was the signal to America’s enemies that weak leadership was back in the White House.
Representative Michael Waltz (R-FL) was the first member of the Army’s Green Berets to be elected to Congress.
He served multiple tours of duty in Afghanistan during his military career.
Waltz took part in the counterprogramming put on by Republicans in Chicago, Illinois, while the Democratic National Convention (DNC) was going on.
The former Green Beret didn’t mince words about Kamala’s failures during remarks at Trump Tower Chicago.
“Three years ago this week, that . . . all of that was going on in Afghanistan, that disgrace, that debacle, that stain on our national conscience, and I think, on American history,” Waltz said. “It’s one thing to lose your men or women in combat. That happens, but to lose it due to incompetence and to literally idiotic and asinine decision making out of that White House is something we . . . will never forget.”

Afghanistan was memory-holed at the Democrat convention
Kamala and the Democrat Party don’t speak about Afghanistan anymore after the Biden-Harris administration bragged that it was a massive success.
“And she [Harris] owns it. She owns it,” Waltz stated. “She was proud of it, she bragged about it, and now to try to pretend didn’t happen, to not even acknowledge it so far this week, and we won’t hear the term ‘Afghan.’”
No one was fired for the Afghan debacle; the administration just tried to spin it as a success.
“You won’t hear any ownership of that debacle out of any one of the speakers this week. And so what was happening three years ago with Harris standing to Biden’s side, he was saying, ‘What do you mean? This was an outstanding success,’” Waltz recalled.
The Biden-Harris administration is still funneling taxpayer money to the Taliban through the United Nations.
And they’ve learned nothing from their failure.
“There are three Americans hostage right now in Afghanistan [held] by the Taliban,” Waltz said. “At the same time, Biden and Harris provide billions of dollars in aid . . . How do you give an organization [a] billion dollars in aid while they’re taking our own citizens hostage?”
Kamala Harris is trying to appear as a fresh face on the political scene who emerged in July when Biden dropped out.
But she has a hand in every disaster created by this administration over the last three and a half years.
