New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is navigating another firestorm.
Coming out on the other side won’t be so easy.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is in big trouble after this shocking arrest.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shames herself with comments about healthcare CEO’s murder
The Democrat Party is descending into madness over the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Police arrested Luigi Mangione for the killing, and Mangione penned a manifesto attacking the U.S. healthcare system as corrupt and greedy.
The left-wing base applauded this killer.
Jon Stewart’s audience booed when Stewart announced police took Mangione into custody.
Even elected Democrats are playing footsie with the lunatic base that supports political assassinations.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the latest Democrat to fall into this trap.
Ocasio-Cortez is a supporter of banning private health insurance in order to force Americans into a socialized medicine scheme.
In comments to reporters, Ocasio-Cortez used her typical attacks on the U.S. healthcare system to walk right up to the line of justifying Thompson’s killing.
“I think that this collective American experience [of healthcare], which is so twisted to have in the wealthiest nation in the world, all of that pain that people have experienced is being concentrated on this event. And it’s really important that we take a step back,” Ocasio-Cortez stated.
Ocasio-Cortez then committed the classic blunder of when a politician includes the word “but” in their comment.
Whenever a politician says the word “but” it invalidates everything that came before.
In this case, Ocasio-Cortez tried to disavow violence; however, she included the word “but,” which was followed by claiming the press needed to understand why Americans felt justified in violently lashing out at health insurance companies.
“This is not to comment and this is not to say that an act of violence is justified, but I think for anyone who is confused or shocked or appalled, they need to understand that people interpret and feel and experience denied claims as an act of violence against them,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Ocasio-Cortez then claimed Americans were rightfully enraged to the point of violence by falsely claiming the healthcare system was the equivalent of violence.
“People go homeless over the financial devastation of a diagnosis that doesn’t get addressed or the amount that they’re gonna have to cover with a surprise bill and things like that. And when we kind of talk about how systems are violent in this country, in this passive way, our privatized healthcare system is like that for a huge amount of Americans,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
Ocasio-Cortez then bizarrely claimed she didn’t have health insurance until she came to Congress in 2018.
“I did not have health insurance until I got elected to Congress. I was running. When I first ran for Congress, I had to sit in a free clinic,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.
Obamacare went into effect in 2014.
Taking Ocasio-Cortez at her word means she defied Obamacare’s individual mandate to have health insurance for four years and that the law failed at its stated goal of providing affordable health insurance to low-income Americans.
The dangers of Democrats trying to cozy up to their lunatic base were obvious to anyone.
Trying to sound like you sympathize with Americans driven to kill over their anger at a healthcare company is a terrible place to be.
Shortly after Thompson’s murder, police in Florida arrested a woman threatening the life of another health insurance company executive.
“According to the arrest affidavit, Brianna Boston, 42, of Lakeland, called the company regarding her claims. Toward the end of the call, which was recorded, authorities stated that Boston said, ‘Delay, deny, depose. You people are next,’” Mediaite reported.
The Democrat Party won’t dig out of the hole they are in after the 2024 election if their immediate political pivot is sympathizing with violent lunatics.
