Al Sharpton thought he was going to be able to take a break from politics.
He kicked back to relax and turn on the game.
And Al Sharpton was red with rage after he saw J.D. Vance at one football game on TV.
J.D. Vance invites Daniel Penny to the Army-Navy football game
Marine Corps veteran Daniel Penny faced a witch hunt from Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for a selfless act of defending passengers on a New York subway train from a homeless drug addict.
Jordan Neely, a career criminal, was threatening to kill passengers on the train.
Penny put him in a chokehold to restrain him but Neely died in a hospital afterward.
Prosecutors charged Penny with negligent homicide.
“I wasn’t trying to injure him. I’m just trying to keep him from hurting anyone else,” Penny said. “He’s threatening people. That’s what we learn in the Marine Corps.”
A Manhattan jury acquitted Penny in a massive loss for Bragg.
The media tried to play the race card because Neely was black and Penny is white.
Vice President-elect J.D. Vance – a Marine veteran – invited Penny to attend the Army-Navy football game as his guest.
“Daniel’s a good guy, and New York’s mob district attorney tried to ruin his life for having a backbone,” Vance wrote on X. “I’m grateful he accepted my invitation and hope he’s able to have fun and appreciate how much his fellow citizens admire his courage.”
President-elect Donald Trump, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Vance, and Penny took in the game from a suite at Northwest Stadium – the home of the NFL’s Washington Commanders – in Landover, Maryland.
The crowd cheered and chanted “USA!” when Trump and his entourage were shown on the stadium’s video board.
Al Sharpton rages over Vance inviting Daniel Penny to the football game
Reverend Al Sharpton raged over Penny being a guest of Vance at the Army-Navy during a segment on MSNBC.
“It is amazing to me that you would have someone that choked to death an unarmed man who had mental problems and act as though he’s some kind of hero,” Sharpton ranted. “The clear message is that you are now giving legitimacy to vigilanteism, and it could make others feel that they can take the law into their own hand.”
Sharpton played the only card he knew, the race card.
“He’ll make this guy, whose only claim to fame is that he choked to death an unarmed man with mental issues,” Sharpton raved. “It ought to be insult to all Americans beyond race. If the race was the other way around, would the reaction be the same? I think Donald Trump is clearly sending a racial signal here. I think a lot of those that have fell in line are comfortable with that. That’s frightening.”
Penny was acquitted by a jury of his peers in Manhattan because they didn’t fall victim to Sharpton’s hysteria.
“Let’s not forget J.D. Vance accused black Haitians of eating the pets of people in the city in Ohio when he was a senator so he sees us as animals and he sees us as less than human,” Sharpton fumed.
Daniel Penny’s acquittal and the lack of a backlash to the verdict outside the left-wing fringe is a sign that the culture is shifting and the hysterical overreaction after George Floyd’s death is receding.
