A Michigan Senate Candidate Said JD Vance Needs to Have a Talk With His Brown Kids

Apr 22, 2026

JD Vance and his wife Usha have two children.

A Michigan Democrat running for Senate just decided Usha Vance needs his help.

What Abdul El-Sayed said about the Vice President's children on a podcast will make you understand exactly what the Democratic Party has become.

The Podcast Appearance That Launched a Thousand Reactions

Dr. Abdul El-Sayed sat down on "The Allen Analysis Show" last Friday and decided the best path to the U.S. Senate ran straight through JD Vance's marriage.

"What do you think is going through Usha's head when he talks? She's like, 'Damn, I have to sleep with him,'" El-Sayed said on the podcast.

He didn't stop there.

"He's got Brown kids, at some point he's going to have a really awkward conversation with his kids, like, you made your career hating people who are different."

Then came the advice nobody asked for: El-Sayed urged Usha Vance to "get out" of her marriage.

The Vice President has the "charisma of a doorknob," El-Sayed added, and the "aura of a toad."

This is what passes for a Senate campaign in Michigan's Democratic primary in 2026.

What He Actually Said About the Children

Here's where it gets worse.

El-Sayed repeated the word "Brown" so many times it stopped sounding like a political point and started sounding like an obsession.

"He's got to look at his kids and be like, 'Yeah, those are Brown kids, they're mine. I had Brown kids. I had Brown kids?'"

El-Sayed then pivoted to his own family – "I love my Brown kids" – and made the argument that JD Vance secretly believes his own children are less American than white children.

He offered zero evidence for that claim.

What he did offer was a Democrat publicly fixating on the skin color of a sitting Vice President's children on a podcast, then packaging it as anti-racism.

"When you're running on racial division, you have to keep stoking racism, especially if you're the racist," former Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon told Fox News Digital. "Imagine smugly trying to break up a family because you don't believe a White man can love his children."

The reaction across social media was swift.

Rev. Jordan Wells, founder of Christians Against Antisemitism Institute, called it "personal, cruel, and straight-up disgusting."

Townhall writer Amy Curtis put it simply: "Democrats are trash."

The Part El-Sayed Doesn't Understand About Michigan

Abdul El-Sayed has run for office before.

He lost the Michigan Democratic gubernatorial primary in 2018 to Gretchen Whitmer.

He's back now, running against state Sen. Mallory McMorrow and Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens for the right to face former Republican Congressman Mike Rogers in November.

Michigan is a battleground state. Suburban voters – the exact voters who decide Senate races – don't respond well to a candidate speculating about a Second Lady's sex life on a podcast.

This isn't complicated.

El-Sayed also has a track record of comments that alarm even mainstream Democrats.

He's previously claimed Israel is "just as evil" as Hamas.

He's said terrorists act from "pain and frustration" while accusing Americans of being "high and mighty."

Now he's telling Usha Vance – a woman who made her own choices about her own family – that she needs to leave her husband.

El-Sayed has decided his Senate campaign is the right venue to lecture a woman about her marriage and publicly obsess over the skin color of a Vice President's children.

That's who Michigan Democrats are running.

Republicans didn't have to invent this. El-Sayed said it out loud, on a podcast, on the record, with no apparent awareness that normal people would find it grotesque.

Mike Rogers is waiting for whoever survives that primary.

He should send El-Sayed a thank-you card.
