The House Oversight Committee called it the biggest political scandal in presidential history.
And Trump just explained the whole thing to a group of Easter Egg Roll kids.
A little boy wandered behind the president at the South Lawn event Monday and blurted out what the entire country was thinking.
Trump Mocks Biden Autopen at 2026 White House Easter Egg Roll
Trump was sitting at a coloring table, signing autographs for children, when he saw an opportunity.
He told the kids they were holding something valuable.
"Then tonight, you could sell them for $25,000 on eBay," Trump joked.
But he wasn't done.
"Biden would use the autopen," Trump told the kids.
"He was incapable of signing his name, so they'd follow him around with this big machine. You know what it was called? An autopen!"
Then the boy wandered up behind him.
He didn't raise his hand. He didn't wait to be called on.
"Donald Trump, you're the best president," the child said.

Without skipping a beat, Trump replied: "Thank you, honey. I agree."
The House Oversight Investigation Into Biden Cognitive Decline and Autopen Use
Trump has been hitting Biden on the autopen for over a year – and the receipts keep piling up.
The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project found that 73.68 percent of Biden's executive orders in 2024 – and 100 percent of those issued in 2025 – bore the signature of a machine rather than the president himself.
His aides were signing for him.
And some of those aides couldn't even tell Congress who was operating the machine.
After 14 depositions and nearly 47 hours of testimony, the House Oversight Committee concluded that Biden's inner circle hid his deterioration from the public while unelected staffers exercised presidential authority in his name.
Chairman James Comer called it a "game of telephone" deciding who ran America – and sent the findings to Attorney General Pam Bondi with one request: investigate everything.
Biden's own physician invoked the Fifth Amendment on every question put to him – including whether he was asked to lie about the president's health.
Biden Pardons and Death Row Commutations Were Signed by a Phone Chain — Not the President
Meanwhile, there's Trump – sitting on the South Lawn, surrounded by children, personally signing his name on their drawings.
That's not a small thing.
The autopen commuted the sentences of all but four federal inmates on death row – murders of children, murders of law enforcement officers.
The chain of command for who authorized those commutations is "difficult or impossible to establish," according to the Oversight Committee's own findings.
They also pardoned Hunter Biden and James Biden through the same process – and Biden's own chief of staff admitted Hunter was in the room for pardon discussions.
The family was helping pardon the family.
And the president may not have personally authorized any of it.
That is what Trump was explaining to a group of Easter Egg Roll kids – and that's exactly why a little boy declaring him the best president felt like the perfect punctuation mark on the whole thing.
The White House South Lawn was packed Monday with the full pageant of America250: egg rolling, military card writing, lunar exploration, mini golf, live chickens and flower bouquet stations.
Trump's family was there too – Eric and Lara, Tiffany and Michael Boulos – watching a president who signs his own name enjoy one of the great American traditions.
Joe Biden couldn't make it.
He sent a machine.
