Donald Trump winning the 2024 election means he gets to staff his administration.
But not everyone on the Right is happy with Trump’s picks.

Fox News legal analyst blows stack over Matt Gaetz nomination
Donald Trump eyes the Justice Department as problem child federal agency number one in need of reform.
The weaponized Justice Department served as the beating heart of the Russia collusion hoax and the lawfare waged by Democrats during the 2024 election.
That’s why Donald Trump nominated Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz to serve as his Attorney General.
Heads exploded across official Washington, D.C., as the establishment realized Trump was serious about taking a chainsaw to the Deep State, starting with the Justice Department.
Fox News legal analyst Andrew McCarthy – who thought Trump should be impeached after January 6 and who thought the criminal cases against Trump made it impossible for him to win the 2024 election – published a scathing column for the Never-Trump National Review publication.
McCarthy claimed Gaetz was unfit to be Attorney General because he helped Trump challenge the results of the last election.
“Gaetz was among the leading proponents of the effort to reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election,” McCarthy wrote.
“No one who took such a position is qualified to be attorney general of the United States — the federal government’s chief law-enforcement official (other than the president) among whose most important jobs is to defend the Constitution. Case closed,” McCarthy added.
McCarthy admitted Gaetz possessed “a lot of political talent, and a lot of lawyer talent,” but then pivoted to attacking Gaetz in personal terms, claiming he acted “like a five-alarm jerk” and that Gaetz was “deeply unpopular.”
“I am sure, then, that there are many White House staff positions — posts that do not require Senate confirmation — that he could fill with ease and perhaps do a good job. And I don’t doubt that he has a future in Florida electoral politics,” McCarthy fumed. “But AG? No . . . and why are we even talking about this, since Gaetz is unconfirmable?”
McCarthy is missing the point by arguing Gaetz could serve in any other number of White House positions.
Starting with Trump’s own Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, the Department of Justice tried to jail Trump for the rest of his life.
Attempt number one was the Russia collusion hoax.
That witch hunt moved forward because Sessions caved to media pressure and recused himself from the probe, allowing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to appoint Robert Mueller as special counsel.
Then, under Merrick Garland, rogue prosecutor Jack Smith sought to see to it that Donald Trump died in prison with a series of wholly contrived criminal charges.
Donald Trump is determined to make sure that never happens again.
That’s why Trump wants a fighter he can trust – like Matt Gaetz – in the position of Attorney General.
