A Trump campaign official revealed one scary moment that changed the election

Dec 23, 2024

Donald Trump pulled off the greatest political comeback in American history.

He overcame some extraordinary obstacles on his way back to the White House.

And a Trump campaign official revealed one scary moment that changed the election.

The media was fooled about what was happening in the 2024 Election

President-elect Donald Trump overcame indictments, a conviction, and two assassination attempts to beat two Democrat candidates to become the second President to serve nonconsecutive terms.

The biggest loser in the election besides Vice President Kamala Harris was the media.

Journalists made it seem that the country had been taken over with Kamala-mania in August as they showered her with billions of dollars worth of positive coverage.

Trump’s co-campaign manager Chris LaCivita and campaign pollster Tony Fabrizio helped guide Trump to his improbable victory.

Democrats and their media allies made it seem like Kamala was going to run away with the race going into the Democratic National Convention (DNC) at the end of August.

The Trump campaign’s poll numbers never showed her taking the lead at the peak of Kamala-mania.

“Biden spent $100 million, a couple hundred million attacking us, and it had negligible impact,” LaCivita told Politico. “And then she shows up, she raises $1.5 billion in 107 days, gets crowned queen, coronated, gets tens of millions of dollars in free media where she’s the best thing since sliced bread.”

“And yet, our numbers never changed. She consolidated the Democratic base,” LaCivita added.

The Vice President’s surge was based entirely on bringing Democrats wavering about President Joe Biden home.

Kamala’s campaign never had her leading at any point in the race.

The media’s portrayal of the race never matched the reality of what was actually happening.

The media overplayed its hand during the election

One of the staples of the Trump era since the President-elect first arrived on the political scene in 2015 was the media overreacting to everything the President-elect said.

Journalists tried to blow up every comment Trump makes as the end of the world.

“I think the press has overplayed its hand on how it deals with what he says and does,” LaCivita said. “There’s nothing ever positive said. Everything is negative, negative, negative, negative. And I think the general population — people in general, just turned it off. They’re like: Eh.”

Fabrizio said that the media’s constant freakouts were ignored by voters.

“They weren’t hearing it. They weren’t hearing it,” Fabrizio stated. “And to the extent that they did hear it, they had already made up their mind on him saying stuff like that. Again, if this race was about policy and performance, we win. And that’s why we kept it on policy and performance.”

The media also acted like the Trump campaign was caught by surprise when Kamala was parachuted in for President Joe Biden.

“Back in May, we did an analysis of what it would take to remove Biden as the nominee because we wanted to know how the Democratic Party would do it,” LaCivita said.

Fabrizio revealed the campaign ran polling on every potential Democrat candidate, including former First Lady Michelle Obama.

LaCivita told Politico that the most overlooked moment by the media in the race was Trump’s reaction to the first assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“You guys have written about the impact of the assassination attempt,” LaCivita explained. “But I don’t think people give enough credit to the fact that the world has a visual. It’s an iconic visual. But I don’t think people have given enough credit to that visual.”
