Fani Willis got a brutal reality check about her lawfare that hit her like a ton of bricks

Dec 23, 2024

Fani Willis was the last hope for Democrats succeeding in their lawfare.

She’s watched her scheme go down in flames.

And Fani Willis got a brutal reality check about her lawfare that hit her like a ton of bricks.

Georgia court disqualifies Fani Willis from the Trump case

The Georgia Court of Appeals disqualified Fulton District Attorney General Fani Willis from her criminal case against President-elect Donald Trump and his allies for contesting the results of the 2020 Election in Georgia.

Willis hired her secret lover Nathan Wade as a special prosecutor on the case despite a lack of qualifications.

He was paid more than $600,000 by Fulton County taxpayers for his work on the Trump case that he used to take Willis on luxury vacations according to court records.

Willis was disqualified from the Trump case because of her conflict of interest in hiring Wade.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley slammed her for bringing the case against the President-elect during an appearance on Fox News.

“This court is basically saying that these cases are not supposed to be sort of vanity projects,” Turley explained. “You know, you were told by the lower court that you created this appearance of impropriety and the question for the court is why you didn’t remove yourself.  Many of us at the time said that most prosecutors would have seen that their continuation of the case was harming the case and harming the public interest.”

A Fulton County judge told Willis that she or Wade had to leave the case for it to continue.

Wade resigned his position as special prosecutor after that ruling.

“He [the Fulton County judge] said, look, this is your conduct is wrong here and you can remove yourself,” Turley said. “Well, he was talking to the wrong person. She had no interest in removing herself. I mean, lawfare is only valuable if you’re the lead warrior, and she was not going to give up that position.”

Willis was using the Trump case as a springboard into a run for statewide office in the 2026 Midterm Elections.

Fani Willis was her own worst enemy in the Trump case

Willis will appeal the appeals court ruling to the Georgia Supreme Court, which is a longshot.

Another Georgia prosecutor could take over the Trump case but legal experts claim it’s unlikely anyone will want it.

Turley slammed Willis for pursuing a case for political motivations.

“She was wrong to bring the case against Trump,” Turley stated. “She clearly wanted to engage in lawfare, and that’s one of the reasons why she wouldn’t give up the case. You know, when this issue was first raised, many of us wrote at the time that the correct move was to remove yourself. You selected a former lover as the lead counsel. That violated, in my view, core ethical requirements.”

Fani Willis got greedy by trying to put her lover on the payroll and it cost her big time.

Her case against Trump was dealt another blow that will likely be game over for her.
