Some media outlets could be removed from White House press briefings
The 2024 Election was the worst media bias that anyone can remember.
Vice President Kamala Harris had mainstream media outlets openly working to get elected.
The media and Kamala had a symbiotic relationship.
President-elect Donald Trump would be hit with a lie or hoax created by the media and Kamala would use it to attack him.
Trump left Vice President-elect J.D. Vance to handle interviews with the mainstream media while he focused on making appearances on popular podcasts and other new media outlets.
Donald Trump Jr. said that mainstream media outlets could be replaced in the White House Briefing Room next year on his Triggered podcast.
Daily Wire host Michael Knowles asked Trump Jr. about shaking things up when Karoline Leavitt becomes White House Press Secretary next year for his father.
“I wonder now as your father is assembling his team, as maybe Karoline Leavitt is looking at the new press briefing room chart, maybe it’s time to reorder that chart, maybe take away some people’s seats,” Knowles said.
Trump Jr. said that he had discussed this possibility with his father and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
“We’re gonna break some news here,” Trump Jr. replied. “Because I literally had this conversation with—I was flying back . . . I was on the plane with my father, I think it was coming back from the SpaceX launch with Elon last week. And we were talking about the podcast world and some of our friends and [comedian Joe] Rogan and guys like you.”
The media could pay a price for its partisan activism
President-elect Donald Trump wasn’t happy with the media, according to his son.
“We had the conversation about opening up the press room to a lot of these independent journalists,” Trump Jr. said. “If The New York Times has lied, they’ve been averse to everything, they’re functioning as the marketing arm of the Democrat Party, why not open it up to people who have larger viewerships, stronger followings?”
Knowles predicted that Democrats and their public relations arm in the left-wing media would be raising hell over the change.
“The Left is gonna answer you, and they’re going to say well, the reason you need to keep The New York Times and The Washington Post in there is because they influence people, and the whole point of the White House briefing room is to convey the message of the White House to the American people,” Knowles explained. “But this is different, you have The New York Times and Washington Post admitting that podcasters and streamers are eating their lunch.”
The 2024 Election showed that the media doesn’t have the power it once had and that people like comedian Joe Rogan are on the rise.
“If they’re dishonest, if they’re not asking questions that are in the interest of the American people, and the American people aren’t even paying attention,” Knowles said. “Is the White House Briefing Room a charity now for journalists who otherwise would be out of work? Sorry guys, learn to code.”
