Kamala Harris was feeling sick when she saw the bad problem that cost her the election

Nov 27, 2024

Kamala Harris went down in flames to defeat on election night against Donald Trump.

She’s trying to figure out where it all went wrong.

And Kamala Harris was feeling sick when she saw the bad problem that cost her the election.

Donald Trump won the election by making inroads with black voters in Philadelphia

Pennsylvania was the most important battleground state in the Presidential election.

It was the tipping point state that put President-elect Donald Trump over 270 Electoral Votes and won him the election.

Trump’s path to victory in Pennsylvania was to run up the margins in the rural areas and small cities in the state to overcome the massive margins that Vice President Kamala Harris got out of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

His campaign dealt a fatal blow to Kamala by increasing his support with black men in Philadelphia while black turnout in the city declined.

President Joe Biden netted 471,305 votes out of Philadelphia County in the 2020 Election while Kamala only won it by 424,260 votes this year.

Trump won Pennsylvania by about 120,000 votes.

An analysis by the Philadelphia Inquirer found that Kamala did worse than Biden in 649 out of the 688 majority-black precincts in the city.

Trump gained votes in 635 of the majority black precincts.

Black turnout fell in the city compared to the 2020 Election.

34-year-old Cequora Jones didn’t vote in the election but said she would have picked Trump if she had.

“I don’t think the citizens determine who’s gonna be in office at all so I just don’t waste my time,” Jones said. “I probably would have voted for Trump.”

She didn’t approve of Kamala’s support for having men in women’s bathrooms.

31-year-old Evervine Brown told her family to support Kamala but couldn’t bring herself to vote for her because she questioned Kamala’s race.

“I felt like I didn’t want to vote for her because I really don’t know her like that,” Brown stated.

Trump made gains with black men in Pennsylvania

Exiting polling found that Trump won 26% of black men in Pennsylvania, which was up from 2020 when he won 10% of them in the state.

51-year-old Carnel Harley, who voted for Trump, wondered what the Biden-Harris administration did for black voters besides give them a holiday.

“What has the past administration done for the black community besides [Juneteenth],” Harley wondered.

Black Conservative Federation official Shawn Gamble Jr. thought cultural issues helped Trump make inroads with black voters and caused many to sit out the election rather than vote for Kamala.

He said that members of his family didn’t vote this year because of the Trump campaign ad that talked about Kamala’s support for transgender surgeries for convicted murderers and illegal aliens.

Gamble praised the Trump campaign for doing more outreach to black voters than previous Republican campaigns.

“When I first started out, it was not this diverse,” Gamble said about the GOP. “And to see how it has grown, it’s beautiful.”

Donald Trump was able to erode Kamala Harris’ base and expand his political coalition, which doomed her.
