Marjorie Taylor Greene is going on the offensive next year.
She’s going to capitalize on Republican control of Congress and the White House.
And Marjorie Taylor Greene was ready for one fight that caused the media to go berserk.
Elon Musk and Marjorie Taylor Greene go after government waste
President-elect Donald Trump tapped Tesla CEO Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy to go through the government’s budget with a fine-tooth comb to find wasteful spending to cut.
Musk and Ramaswamy are bringing their private sector experience to the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) panel to do a top-to-bottom review of the federal government’s spending and operations.
The entrepreneurs will have an ally in Congress in their quest to trim the fat from the government.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) announced the creation of a new subcommittee to assist DOGE in its task.
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) will lead the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Subcommittee to work alongside Musk and Ramaswamy.
The conservative firebrand was ready to fire some failing government employees.
“I’m excited to chair this new subcommittee designed to work hand in hand with President Trump, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and the entire DOGE team,” Greene said in a statement. “Our subcommittee’s work will expose people who need to be FIRED. The bureaucrats who don’t do their job, fail audits like in the Pentagon, and don’t know where BILLIONS of dollars are going, will be getting a pink slip.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene ready to cut NPR’s funding
Greene told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that nothing was off the table for DOGE during an appearance on Sunday Morning Futures.
“We’ll be looking at everything from government-funded media programs like NPR [National Public Radio] that spread nothing but Democrat propaganda,” Greene declared. “We’ll be going into grant programs that funds things like sex apps in Malaysia, toilets in Africa. All kinds of programs that don’t help the American people. I want to talk to the people at the Pentagon and ask them why they can’t find billions of dollars every single year and why they fail their audit.”
She was ready for a showdown with sanctuary states and cities that are vowing to resist Trump’s plan for the mass deportation of illegal aliens.
“But not just that, Maria, I’d like to talk to the Governors of sanctuary states and the Mayors of sanctuary cities and have them come before our committee and explain why they deserve federal dollars if they’re going to harbor illegal criminal aliens in their states and their cities,” Greene said.
Using the copious amounts of taxpayer money from the federal government these jurisdictions receive could be a way to leverage them into following federal law and handing over illegal aliens to be deported.
“We’re going to look in every single aspect,” Greene stated. “And, we don’t care about people’s feelings; we’re going to be searching for the facts and we’re going to be verifying if this is worth spending the American hard-earned, the American people’s hard-earned tax dollars on.”
DOGE has a target rich environment to find waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government.
