The incoming Trump administration is ready to lay down the law.
One of the biggest problems from Trump’s first term is getting tackled.
And a Trump transition member delivered this scary warning to the Deep State.
Rogue Justice Department employees are told to get out
The unelected career bureaucrats who work at the Department of Justice actively worked to undermine President-elect Donald Trump during his first term.
Attorney Mark Paoletta, who’s helping with the Justice Department transition, didn’t mince words about rogue employees plotting against the President-elect.
He told them on social media to pack their bags and leave.
“Of course, no one will push them to implement flagrantly illegal actions like President Biden did with his student loan plan, where he thumbed his nose at the Supreme Court’s ruling and then tried to implement another illegal plan which was struck down,” Paoletta wrote on X. “I don’t recall reading any stories about career attorneys being concerned about working on this blatantly illegal action.”
Paoletta warned them everything was on the table for dealing with career employees who wouldn’t follow Trump’s agenda.
“If these career DOJ employees won’t implement President Trump’s program in good faith, they should leave. Those employees who engage in so-called ‘resistance’ against the duly-elected President’s lawful agenda would be subverting American democracy,” Paoletta added. “Finally, those that take such actions would be subject to disciplinary measures, including termination.”
Article III Project founder Mike Davis – a rumored Trump Justice Department official – told the career employees to run for Congress if they wanted to make policy decisions.
“Justice Department employees work for the President of the United States, who is elected by all Americans,” Davis wrote on X. “Their job is to carry out his lawful orders. If they have a policy disagreement with him, they can always resign and run for Congress. But they should not obstruct justice by undermining his orders.”
He put the Justice Department employees on notice but they could do the work for him and quit before the new administration arrives.
Justice Department employees panic over the return of Trump
A report from Politico stated that Justice Department employees began panicking after Trump won the election.
Many of the career attorneys who work there are thinking about leaving before he takes office.
“Everyone I’ve talked to, mostly lawyers, are losing their minds,” an anonymous Justice Department employee told Politico. “The fear is that career leadership and career employees everywhere are either going to leave or they’re going to be driven out.”
Trump’s pick of Matt Gaetz for Attorney General could also have employees at the Justice Department heading for the exits.
“It is absolutely a part of the calculus,” a former senior Justice Department official said. “If you have one of these type of extreme candidates . . . you will see a significant amount of career staff say, ‘I don’t want to be a part of this.‘ This is antithetical to who this department is. I think that will absolutely inform whether or not a good chunk of career staff — whether people stay or go.”
The Trump transition team would say, “Good riddance.”
Donald Trump’s transition team is already working to stop one of the worst problems from his first administration from reemerging.
