Democrats flew into panic mode after seeing this dark poll result

Oct 28, 2024

The Democrat Party is in complete disarray.

In the final days of the 2024 campaign, the Left’s frustrations, doubts, and complaints about Kamala Harris are spilling out into public view.

And now Democrats flew into panic mode after seeing this dark poll result.

New York Times poll shows Trump in the lead

There is no one who can set off panic on the Left like New York Times pollster Nate Cohn.

Cohn runs the polling operation that everyone in the media and Democrat Party lives and dies over by virtue of its brand.

And the final New York Times/Siena poll sent the Left into a fit of despair and doom over the fact that Donald Trump led Kamala Harris by one point in the full field result with every candidate on the ballot.

The final New York Times/Siena polls in 2016 and 2020 showed Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden leading Trump by four and nine points respectively.

Democrats say Kamala Harris is blowing it

On the day The Times/Siena poll released their results, the pro-Kamala Harris site Axios published a “Behind the Curtain” column by founders Mike Allen and Jim VandeHei entitled, “Dems fear they’re blowing it.”

VandeHei and Allen wrote that Democrats tell them they consider Kamala Harris a lost cause and that Trump will win the election.

“A growing number of top Democrats tell us privately they feel Vice President Harris will lose — even though polls show a coin-toss finish 11 days from now,” Allen and VandeHei wrote.

One warning sign for a campaign is when the recriminations begin before Election Day.

That’s exactly what’s going on with the Left as Democrats point the finger of blame in every direction.

“In a troubling sign for the campaign, top Democrats are already starting to point fingers at who’d be more responsible for a Harris loss — President Biden for dragging his feet, or Harris herself. ‘Going down?’ a top Democratic official texted,” Allen and VandeHei also reported.

Other Democrats held out hope that this version of Kamala Harris could rise to the occasion and improve upon her dismal performance in the 2020 primary campaign.

But Kamala Harris proceeded to disabuse them of that notion by never being able to move beyond her word salad answers.

“She is who she is,” a top Democrat strategist told Axios. “Let’s hope it’s enough.”

And what has Democrats especially despondent is their vaunted cash advantage amounted to nothing.

“Democrats spent $1 billion – nearly twice as much as Republicans – over the past three months to polish her image and soil former President Trump’s,” VandeHei and Allen wrote.

But despite outspending Donald Trump two to one, the best Kamala Harris could do in the polls is a tie.

And major national polls from CNBC, Fox News, and The New York Times put Trump in the lead.

This was an unthinkable scenario for Democrats.

Now many are realizing it may come true because of their lemon of a candidate.
