What Mitch McConnell said in private about Trump will leave you red with rage

Oct 18, 2024

Mitch McConnell is the leader of the GOP’s RINO establishment.

He just pretends to tolerate Donald Trump in public.

And what Mitch McConnell said in private about Trump will leave you red with rage.

Mitch McConnell reveals his hatred of Donald Trump

Journalist Michael Tackett’s new book, The Price of Power, is an oral history of Mitch McConnell’s political rise through the current day.

McConnell’s relationship with Trump was sure to be the headline takeaway for the book.

The leftist media spent years demonizing McConnell, even though McConnell bent over backwards at every turn to support the agenda of Democrat Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

In the book, McConnell told Tackett he was thrilled that Joe Biden had taken office and that he couldn’t wait to say good riddance to Donald Trump.

The RINO McConnell even claimed the American people showed “good judgment” in electing the obviously senile Joe Biden.

McConnell claimed, “It’s not just the Democrats who are counting the days” until Biden took over and that the way Trump acted “only underscores the good judgment of the American people. They’ve had just enough of the misrepresentations, the outright lies almost on a daily basis, and they fired him.”

McConnell continued tearing into Trump for contesting the results of the 2020 election.

“And for a narcissist like him,” McConnell added, “that’s been really hard to take, and so his behavior since the election has been even worse, by far, than it was before, because he has no filter now at all.”

McConnell trashed Trump during his Presidency

McConnell was no fan of Trump while he was President.

McConnell called Trump “stupid as well as being ill-tempered and can’t even figure out where his own best interests lie.”

And McConnell also got mad that Trump didn’t want to immediately plunge America further into debt through an inflationary COVID spending bill.

“This despicable human being,” McConnell ranted about Trump, “is sitting on this package of relief that the American people desperately need.”

McConnell also mocked Trump as stupid after Trump called a press conference without McConnell’s knowledge after signing the 2017 tax cuts into law.

“It’s not hard to look more knowledgeable than Donald Trump at a press conference,” McConnell snarked to Tackett.

Trump – McConnell claimed – “has every characteristic you would not want a President to have.”

Trump was no fan of McConnell after leaving office and slammed McConnell as an “old crow.”

McConnell told Tackett he thought Trump was a “sleazeball.”

“I can’t think of anybody I’d rather be criticized by than this sleazeball,” McConnell added.

“Every time he takes a shot at me, I think it’s good for my reputation,” McConnell continued.

McConnell’s lack of self-awareness kicked in when he couldn’t realize that Republicans believed Trump over him because conservatives saw Trump as fighting for their interests and McConnell fighting for the swamp.

“Unfortunately, about half the Republicans in the country believe whatever he says,” McConnell claimed.
