The media continues to be one of the big stories of the 2024 election.
News outlets abandoned any pretense of fairness to cast their lot with Kamala Harris and her campaign.
And Fox News made Donald Trump’s blood boil with one gift to Kamala Harris.
Donald Trump calls out Fox News for biased coverage
Trump expressed unhappiness with what he saw on Fox News.
The 45th President said Fox always made sure to bring on leftists who would slander his Presidency without any pushback from the hosts.
“The problem with Fox News is that every time they put on someone who is positive and touting all of the good things I have done for the Country, they always feel it necessary to follow up with a really negative voice, often people who are storytellers and willing to outright lie,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Fox News delineates the daytime program – which the network classifies as “news” with hosts like Dana Perino, Bill Hemmer, Martha MacCallum, Bret Bair, and John Roberts – from the primetime opinion programming where Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and Greg Gutfeld set up shop.
Trump wasn’t happy with how the daytime news hosts don’t fact-check their pro-Kamala Harris guests and push back on false narratives.
“The daytime anchors are no match for these lunatics, and they get away with absolute murder. The net result is NOTHINGNESS, so what’s the purpose in watching?” Trump added.
Trump’s unhappiness with Fox News
Trump’s critiques of Fox News aren’t coming out of nowhere.
On multiple occasions, Trump’s been upset with the coverage on Fox News.
The morning after the debate with Kamala Harris, Trump appeared on Fox & Friends.
Kamala Harris was already asking for a second debate and Fox News offered to host the event with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum as moderators.
Trump told the Fox & Friends co-hosts that he wasn’t inclined to do a debate with Kamala Harris because Trump felt Kamala wouldn’t be asking for a second debate if she thought she won the first.
But Trump also said he wouldn’t want Baier and MacCallum as moderators after they criticized his performance in the debate with Kamala Harris.
“Well, I wouldn’t want to have Martha and Bret,” Trump declared. “I’d love to have somebody else other than Martha and Bret. I’d love to have, frankly, Sean or Jesse or Laura. You know, somebody else. Let’s give let’s give other people a shot.”
Trump also wasn’t happy that Fox News wasn’t fact checking Kamala Harris’ spokesman Michael Tyler over falsehoods Tyler spread about Trump’s connection to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025.
“Why does Fox News keep putting on, for endless periods of time, Michael Tyler, Kamala’s publicist, who spews nothing but lies – like Project 2025, etc.,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Fox tries to be so politically correct, when the other side plays for keeps. RIDICULOUS!!!”
