A secret video of a top Democrat leaked that painted this scary picture for Kamala Harris

Democrats are projecting confidence about the election in public.

But what’s happening behind closed doors is a different story.

And a secret video of a top Democrat leaked that painted this scary picture for Kamala Harris.

Democrat Senate candidate claims Kamala is losing Michigan in leaked video

Democrats and their media allies act like Vice President Kamala Harris is on her way to a decisive victory on Election Day.

But one Democrat Senate candidate in one of the most hotly-contested races painted a completely different picture.

Representative Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) is running for Michigan’s open Senate seat.

She held a virtual fundraising call with U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), where she made a shocking admission about Kamala.

“I’m not feeling my best right now about where we are on Kamala Harris in a place like Michigan,” Slotkin said. “We have her underwater in our polling.”

The video call was meant to be a private fundraising event and there’s no word about how the video leaked to the public.

Slotkin is facing former Representative Mike Rogers (R-MI) in what’s expected to be one of the most competitive Senate races of the year.

A Republican source told Axios that their internal polling of the race had it as a statistical dead heat.

The Senate Leadership Fund, a PAC affiliated with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), announced it would put $22.5 million into the race backing Rogers.

Michigan Democrats warn state is still in play

Michigan is one of the competitive swing states in the Presidential election.

President Joe Biden carried the state in the 2020 Election by about 150,000 votes.

Kamala has a 1.4% advantage over former President Donald Trump in the RealClearPolitics polling average of Michigan.

Representative Debbie Dingell (D-MI) warned in 2016 that Hillary Clinton was in trouble in Michigan.

She tried to get Clinton to divert resources to the state but was ignored.

This year she’s stressing that Michigan is still up for grabs.

“Nobody is winning this state right now,” Dingell said before an event with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. “Donald Trump hasn’t won this state. Kamala Harris hasn’t won this state.”

If Trump can win the three Sun Belt swing states of North Carolina, Georgia, and Arizona he would only need to win one of the Rust Belt swing states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Wisconsin to win the election.

Democrats private polling tells a different story

Kamala looks strong in public polling but many Democrats say their internal polls tell a different story about her campaign.

The president of Future Forward, the main super PAC backing Kamala’s campaign, made a surprising comment in August during the peak of her polling surge after entering the race.

“Our numbers are much less rosy than what you’re seeing in the public,” Future Forward President Chauncey McLean said at an event in Chicago before the Democratic National Convention in August.

Michigan is home to a large number of working-class voters that Kamala has never had to appeal to in her political career.

That is a demographic that’s been underestimated in other races with Trump on the ballot.

Democrats are telling a different story about the state of the race behind closed doors.
