Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are locked in the most unpredictable election ever.
The latest twist came from the Kamala Harris campaign.
And Kamala Harris started one fight with Donald Trump that didn’t end like anyone expected.
Kamala Harris lays debate trap
Kamala Harris announced she accepted an invitation from CNN for a debate in late October.
“I will gladly accept a second presidential debate on October 23,” Kamala Harris wrote on X.
Kamala Harris then tried to bait Trump into accepting.
“I hope @realDonaldTrump will join me,” Kamala Harris added.

Kamala Harris’ campaign doubled down on the “debate me, coward” strategy.
“The American people deserve another opportunity to see Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump debate before they cast their ballots. It would be unprecedented in modern history for there to just be one general election debate. Debates offer a unique chance for voters to see the candidates side by side and take stock of their competing visions for America,” Kamala Harris campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon’s statement read.
“Another debate on CNN is obviously a set up.”
CNN’s left-wing moderators Dana Bash and Jake Tapper would copy how ABC’s David Muir and Linsey Davis jumped in at key points to assist Kamala Harris with incorrect fact checks and to defend Kamala from attacks on her radical positions.
Donald Trump responds to Kamala’s debate challenge
Donald Trump delivered his answer to Kamala Harris’ debate ultimatum during a rally in North Carolina.
Trump rejected the offer out of hand, noting that the proposed October 23 date was a dead give away this was a set up.
“The problem with another debate is that it’s just too late voting has already started,” Trump explained.
By October 23, the Democrat early vote was in the bank.
A late debate could only hurt Trump with on the fence voters.
Trump also jabbed Kamala Harris for ducking a September 4 debate on Fox News because she only feels comfortable showing up for rigged debates where she can count on Democrat partisans to serve as moderators.
“She’s had her chance to do it with Fox . . . but now she wants to do a debate right before the election because she’s losing badly,” Trump continued.
Trump also told the crowd that if Kamala Harris was actually winning the election, she wouldn’t be demanding a second debate.
“It’s like a fighter. She sees the pulse, she sees what’s happening. She’s losing badly, but it’s like a fighter who goes into the ring and gets knocked out. The first thing he says is, ‘I wanna rematch,'” Trump added.
Kamala Harris’ proposed second debate is a sham offer.
If Donald Trump accepted, that means Democrats would have chosen the host for all three debates – CNN and ABC.
It’s important for Trump to turn this down to set a precedent for the future that Republicans won’t agree to let Democrats dictate the rules and hosts of every debate.
